Seems a popular thread. OK, talk to me like I'm a 9 year old. I have the bike and Elite Super Crono Elastogel turbo trainer. (No whistles or bells) I have an iPhone, iPad and a laptop at my disposal. What else do I need to jump onto the bandwagon? There are quite a few different "Elite Super Crono Elastogel turbo trainer" - fluid, mag and digital... I'd guess the mag one if its "no bells and whistles". If it's this one: www.decathlon.co.uk/supercrono-force-elastogel-turbo-trainer-pack-id_8346772.html?gclid=CNCd5LShn8oCFSfnwgodjowIFg then it's an "Elite mag force" - which is on the Zwift supported list. So from there, you'd need an ANT+ speed sensor (probably as well and easier to get speed and cadence in one). And a USB2 (the 2 is important) ANT+ receiver for the PC... usually little usb dongles. zwift.com/getting-started/

www.strava.com/activities/471077600Somehow zwifting seemed to make keeping control and sticking to zone 2 more feasible, I just can't not push when out. Enjoyed a pottle, though my cold's still horrid. I'll be back in Richmond tomorrow evening. Might go for a long tempo ride, or a sweet spotting session - depending on the state of the cold..

Two laps of Richmond this morning, sweating out the cold and last night booze then coughed up a lung at the end, feeling right as rain now! www.strava.com/activities/471391562

Still full of snot, and occasionally coughing it up, but almost all symptoms are head based.

Cheers RobP tonight was the first I used the workout mode, usually I ride around the virtual world and do a few intervals in my head watching the clock tick away

I do a workout unless riding with someone which was why I threw in the free ride Monday for a change Sundays session was based on the 30 min workout which I had tweaked in the workout editor to make it 45 mins.

Next time I will likely design my own workout based on a few tweaks to the workout I was doing tonight.

Been trying to follow the 12 FTP builder plan but after a recent Zwift update it says to skip weeks 1&2 depending on your fitness so skipped to week three. I've been swapping between morning and night depending on what time i've had available. Not being a morning person the past two days have been almost 1:30 so there's no way i can be on the bike by 6:30 so i'e had to jig things around a bit. Today i really couldn't be bothered getting up so ended up doing 'Jon's Short Mix' - Wow this was though, very short warm up then i had to hold 460w twice with a 30 second breather in-between which i failed. There were also a couple of 10 second efforts at 850w which i couldn't even reach never mind hold. I did mange the 240w for 10 mins but it was so so hard this morning. Really wasn't feeling it this morning! www.strava.com/activities/479438035One thing i have found since using the training programmes is i prefer them to just riding Zwift.

Jons Short Mix is my standard when time is short, though my efforts are lower than your as based on ftp where your 1 min efforts are 460w mine is 255w and your 10 sec 850w are my 520w Agree I prefer the workout mode rather than free riding on Zwift unless I am riding with someone else
