1600m vertical climbing in 9km sounds like a new road to me!! Lol... what the hell happened there! - it wasn't the new road - that's just silly. Perhaps a side effect of having to mess with the date to get onto Watopia?

I don't mean to derail any of the training chat but what is the most cost effective way to get into this? I'm not wholly concerned about power accuracy etc. I'm thinking of getting a turbo again (this effing weather) and this kind of carry on would assist overcoming motivational issues normally associated with the turbo.
Otherwise I might go for rollers.

Be warned, on generic turbos, the power function will be wrong and VERY limited.

I said above that i was riding to what i felt at the time was sustainable power/effort level.
Studying all my recent turbo workouts today, it turns out last nights effort was my highest average yet, even though i thought i was riding more within myself than previous turbo stints.
My perceived effort sensor maybe needs a firmware update ha!

Turns out I broke my Turbo trainer. Heard a metallic squealing (intermittent) on the last couple of sessions, thought it was my bike but every time I looked down I couldn't see anything that would be causing it (never thought it'd be the Turbo). Anyway, clipping in to the pedals this morning to start a session the squealing started immediately and I was able to tell it was the roller of the Turbo.

Not sure RobP hopefully Spring isn't all that far away in which case the turbo would have been packed away for a few months anyway, that said I've been enjoying the Zwift sessions and another month or more of that should bring about some improvements so yeah might have to go shopping

Cheers. The addded expense of a windows computer probably tips the costs over the edge. Will explore again next winter.
