First up for those that don't know what Zwift is, it is basically a virtual world, consider it a massively multiplayer virtual cycling game. It uses ANT+ to convert your power (which can be virtual from your turbo trainer, or direct from a power meter) to ride along, as if it was real life, and it has pretty good graphics, decent social attitude and a decent (but not brilliant IMHO) workout mode... but it certainly makes the turbo more interesting for Β£8 a month. I thought I'd start up a little BROC "team" and give us a place to post our virtual rides... even perhaps organise virtual meet ups/rides (it would be possible to even the field for a decent ride for all by the stronger riders entering falsely high weights). I've added "BROC" to my Zwift Name - hopefully make me easier to spot and find. I spot 16 of the strava triban owners have used strava... so I know you are out there!

Had a bit of a free run tonight and did what I felt like, rode with a Canadian fellow for a while, and Tim, who's on this forum, but usually just lurks. Did grab myself the green jersey in both directions... amazing how much deeper I can go if I have something to compete for! Got given a perfect lead out for one of them, resulting in taking the jersey by 2.5s... then turned round and grabbed it the other way round by sprinting out of a group (who I rejoined after for the pic below) but then I am a sprinter really. Had a go for polka dot, but while I was on course for 3 minutes, I couldn't sustain the power and faded away badly. www.strava.com/activities/462503094

I am a little suspicious the power is a small amount high, but not more than ~5%, I actually reported that was my suspicion 10 months ago to them, but they then went and checked theirs with 2 power meters, and said it was "within tolerance" and "you are better than you think". I still have my doubts TBH, but it isn't far wrong compared with the gym's wattbikes.

Sprint and to a lesser extent KOM segments are out of reach to me due to using an unsupported trainer, Zwift (quite rightly) limits me to 400 virtual watts even if I'm pumping out 600w 800w whatever amount. Not that I'm capable of sustaining enough power output anyway to challenge for one of those virtual Jerseys.

Great to have our own thread to discuss all things Zwift like Cheers r0b1etAs mentioned on the turbo thread I have been using Zwift for a couple of months now. Originally on an old Elite fluid turbo which wasn't supported using just the speed / cadence sensor Enjoyed it so much I upgraded to a Tacx Bushido Smart Trainer which makes it a whole new experience. My current set up in the garage A few screens from recent workouts We do need a BROC jersey as getting bored of my Tacx one

The ZWIFTCAST (Zwift Podcast) focuses on the group rides and races but worth a listen for the insight from the developers Popularity for the group rides is increasing although not tried them myself as the times haven't been convenient so far This was a screen from yesterdays ride Note over 1100 users were online then and tonight was over 900 Details of Zwift group rides HERE

my tower fan isn't good enough, but hey, the sweat on the floor is lost weight right?

Details of Zwift group rides HEREI really want to try a Zwift race (much less of the expensive/scary crash danger), but they are all at times I can't do.

my tower fan isn't good enough, but hey, the sweat on the floor is lost weight right? Absolutely I did try our tower fan at first but it simply doesn't shift enough air and is at the wrong angle. The fan high up on the wall pointing down on me is perfect.

Loving the setup RobPThe issue i've got at the min is i'm getting crazy power numbers. Think last nights ride at an avg HR of about 120 was something like 290 watts. Thinking about getting a Tacx Vortex based in the DC ranimaker review but then part of me can't help but think about the KICKR, can't really afford it tho.

I was getting silly numbera with my old non supported turbo too. It was one of my reasons for going to the Tacx Would love a Kickr too but just so expensive and i couldn't justify it! I think Red Devil has the Tacx Vortex so may be able to give his view of real world use

I've pulled the plug and gone for the Vortex! No point in going for the KICKR when ideally want to spend money on some new wheels and groupset for the Triban.
