Me? Still on the e-cig. Haven't touched a cig in 4 weeks now. Feeling good about myself. Just wish this horrendous weather would alow me to get out and about on the T3. Before rule 5 is invoked I have to say there are many trees round my locale and the wet leaves on the road are truly treacherous! I prefer to keep my skin on my ar$e thank you very much!!!!

Lost count how long I've been on the vaporiser for now, gotta be at least 20 weeks now and now weaning myself of that as well. Not sure what was the better buy, the vaper or the T7.

Now, I should probably have used that as an opportunity to quit the ecig too but I felt alright. We'll see, small steps and all that.

I'm definitely spending less than when I was buying tobacco. Health is the overriding reason but it gives me a few extra pennies for things like brake pads lol.

Quitting was the best thing I have done. A bottle of juice for the e cig costs around a fiver. Lasts around a week and half to two weeks. A pack of 20 cost me over 7 quid and would last me a day and a half.
No brainer really, and a damned sight healthier as well.
Feel the time is right (4 weeks +) to reduce the nicotine in the juice. Next bottle will be a lower one. Good luck with the patches Jamie although I think it may be a more expensive decision mate.

Well done all, keep up the good work. I've been smoke free for I think pretty much exactly a year now after about 18-20 years of pretty heavy smoking. I didn't fancy the e-cig thing as it feels too near to actually smoking for me. I went to my GP and got referred to the local SmokeStop service, am sure they're up and down the country. I went the Champix (drug) route. It doesn't work for or suit everyone, I'm told, but it has been absolutely brilliant for me. You take the tablets for 12 weeks, the first couple of weeks you smoke as well. Then you stop smoking. Pretty scary, but the tablets help to ease the cravings. After about eight weeks, I kept finding I was forgetting to take the tablets, then after about 10 weeks I stopped the tablets altogether as my body was telling me I just didn't need them.
Unless I actively make myself think about it, I never think about cigarettes at all, ever. I even go out for fag breaks with a colleague and happily chat away while she smokes, the thought of asking her for a fag just doesn't come into it.
Can't rate Champix highly enough :-)

I know a few people who went down the Champix route PV. Some say that you have pretty weird dreams etc. Is that right? I agree, the e-cig is very similar to real smoking. ie taking a drag and a cloud of vapour emerges. You also get the "hit" at the back of the throat. Gonna persevere with the e cig, if that fails then I did consider the Champix method. I still get the urge for a smoke in the morning but have a toot instead, seems to work!

Well done so far lads, it is hard for most people to kick the habbit, over 8 months off the cigs now and barely think about them, when i do i just get up and do something which takes my mind of it, health wise i feel a real big diff, the benefits are great, best thing i have ever done is giving them up, good luck with the quit you lot you know its the right thing to do

I was a real one for a fag in the morning! But doesn't even enter my thinking these days. Don't recall dreams being odd, Big Brother, at least no odder than usual!

I was on a quit smoking forum when i started my quit it did nt help much, i did my own thing anyway but a lot on that forum said they had weird dreams while taking champix , as said above it worked for some and not for others.
