keep it up mate, first few weeks are the hardest apparently... never had an urge to smoke fags ( oooh err missus) myself , only one out of my immediate family that doesn't smoke and actually hate going up to the mothers house as i will come back honking of the stuff , the wifes dad had a double lung transplant at the start of the year and the photos of his lungs would have been enough to stop anyone smoking, except the mother in law who i think is secretly trying to kill him off by continuing to smoke

im on the quitting list too, i tried last year and failed, been smoking for about 30 years so it is/will be tough. I tried the e-cigs last year, and while they did help, it didnt help me with ditching the hand to mouth or going for a smoke habit. What i did notice though was within a few days my fitness increased dramatically, my run speed went from 11 min miles to 9.5 min miles, better than that, my ride speed went from 17mph average, to 22 mph.....and then I started smoking again after the 28 days...mostly because i am a F*&^%g idiot. apart from the habit part of the e-cig, i have concerns on what inhaling the flavouring component of the liquid is, as far as the nicotine and glycerine is concerned they are ok, but who knows what is the in the flavour, but it sounds like your not over using it Red so you should ignore everything I have just said Anyway good luck to everyone, I would be interested to hear how peoples average speeds have changed, and how we all are coping...maybe we can have a disclaimer on our Avitars that shows we are quitting so when we get all cranky ppl know why

I initially thought this thread was for the more homophobic amongst us ! Anyway good luck on kicking the tab habit once & for all, I must admit despite smoking the odd one or two with a drink (and sometimes more depending on the company), I've never seen the fuss with them & certainly haven't found them habit forming. I'm just lucky in that regard I guess. One of my mates gave up cold turkey due to his gf at the time remarking on disliking the smell & taste of his kisses & never touched them until unfortunately she had a brain aneurysm. He tried to give up again with the electronic tabs & has ended up having those as his work/indoor smoke & still smokes 12.5g every few days of tobacco on top.

Well done both of you, keep it up! I forgot to finish my earlier post, the bit about my mate was more me saying just be careful to resist any proper cigs you're offered as to see my mate now who smokes both is a walking advert for not smoking (he wheezes and coughs/splutters & he's only 25! Never mind he's aged a lot in the past year compared to the rest of us!).

Well done mate. I started using a vaporiser about 3 or 4 months ago now and haven't touched a cigarette since. They're brilliant.

Been working away this week with no internet access.
Things still good on the e-cig. Been having a rattle on it when I get the urge.
