One thing I'm noticing is that the front wheel foot/pedestal can break if its a cheap hollow part. Doesn't help if you're hefty and use the trainer a bit.
I'm probably going to have to buy a new one soon.

I have a spare wheel (my old T7 rear wheel) with a turbo tyre on it. I recommend it because turbo tyres offer better heat resistance than a normal road tyre and turbo's do generate a lot of heat. they are also a bit quieter than a road tyre I guy in our club came of his bike because he'd worn the rear tyre using it on a turbo, but hadn't noticed I have a Tacx Satori Pro, from Decathlon. Nice kit came with everything i needed, 10 levels of resistance and was only Β£129 Also turn your radiator off in the room you are using the turbo so its nice and cool when you come to use it (only really applies during winter) My problem is I don't use it enough. need to sort that out EDIT: I replied to the discussion on page one if this seems out of context

The rain & wind is making my turbo trainer purchase imminent. Anyone bought this model? or bought from Black Dog Bikes? Seems OK for a budget buy & reviews are mainly good.

I got my workstand from Black Dog Bikes, mike54321. Service seemed fine from my recollection.

Β yep bought that exact same model I think but bit cheaper on ebay (still new with skewer and front block). Used it a few times. very sturdy, easy to set up, variability works fine once cable is stretched out and overall very good for money. Find noise fine if just doing steady work but and sprints and hard stuff does make a lot of noise, but never used another turbo to compare to.

Got the TT on Tuesday & started with a couple of 1 hour sessions I came across on a club tri site. Anyone got any sessions for swaps?

Found a turbo training site with loads of plans. Not registered yet or tried any, sun's shining & the roads are drying! - out for a lunch time spin instead.

Turbo is good although not used it that much as able to get out inbetween rain few days a week to and from work.
