lol nope. But they do sell Pinarello! From the time I saw that announcement I haven't seen one yet and I pass a Halfords store every week day! And what models do yo think they will sell anyhow? Certainly not anything worth Β£8k. They don't get that kind of customers in there

They only sell them from three stores where they have 'specially trained' mechanics.

Frederick please, did you watch the 'tour we francis' movie on YouTube, I thought it was superb and only minimally promoted the bike. Give it a watch, its no bad at all Never saw it, was it as bad as everyone is saying? How comes you like it? the ads on the tour coverage were a bit annoying after a while but i spent the whole tour on my turbo watching while riding, i semi switched off at the ad points and went hard until the tour was back on - 3 min all out stints man, pfffff, anyhoo, i saw an article about how the boy wasnt called francis and was a pro cyclist and all this nonsense, researched it a bit more and it wasnt like that at all but the casting people did have a specific in mind and needed someone with a relevent name they could tag onto, this boy was a good amatuer racer and he applied for the part, the movie on you tube shows his journey - of which snippets were turned into the adverts - it wasnt so much about the bike to be honest, just the story - i enjoyed it

The bloke at Halfords told me that they mainly sell the TDF or Zelos when they are half price... I bet you'd be annoyed if you walked in at a time when the sale was off and got suckered into one of these

I can tell you're dying to see it Whitestar, so if you fancy a laugh here it is in all its glory: www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_969924&feature=iv&src_vid=9RQAqwqmtNc&v=TmN4OF_6qMUAnd if you think the guy really did climb the Madeleine and Croix de Fer as shown, have a look at the way the bike camera and mounting bracket miraculously keep on changing position and even disappear completely in mid ride. Truth is they got whatever shot they wanted, all piled into the vans, drove up to the next location and so on. And far from crying like buzz did, I just wanted to slap his smug fat face. He reminds me of that irritating bloke Chris Hollins who used to present sport on BBC Breakfast. Oh, and by the way ZS, they were fully aware the route to the top of the Madeleine was blocked by snow beforehand. The scene with Francis 'heroically' trying to make the ascent anyway was scripted and rehearsed before they even set off. Well, gotta go coz I'm cramping up. CA-DENCE! CA-DENCE!

Do you think you're cut out for Triban ownership fredscuppers?
Whilst the guy and ad campaign were a little irritating, it's not really something that should stimulate the urge for physical altercation - are you seeking professional help for these personality traits?

I'll refer to my other comment where I said I enjoyed the story
To help us on our way here let's have a look at a couple of dictionary definitions
story - noun An account of imaginary or real people and events told for entertainment Example the tour we francis
Internet troll - web definition Someone who posts inflammatory extraneous or off topic remarks in the hope of provoking an emotional response or otherwise disrupting normal on topic discussion Example . Answers on a postcard

So are you saying Dan that this wasn't real?

Who's that trap trapping over my bridge!
Take it or leave it, I watched a documentary about the making of it and although the means by which they got Francis was contrived they did actually do the rides, no reason to disbelieve them unless you want to go down the conspiracy route......for a bike?
Whether it worked or not......we all bought tribans Who gives a tom about carrera

True, if anything, it's the fact that I heard it so much that put me off it, after the second week I began to cringe at it ... but then I am a home working weirdo who rarely goes out and has it on full time on my second PC screen, so probably was up there with the world record viewing count - give me a decade and I'll look back it nostalgically like I do with the Carlos Fandango Hamlet ad' .
