Have they got those silly brakes down by the bottom bracket area? The new Ultras have the direct mount brakes, both on the alloy frame (same as Alur) and the carbon frames.

Let's hope that the direct mount brakes become a forgotten footnote in cycling history. Disc brakes are on their way, and I believe rim brakes will die out?

I presume that's the same chainset (without the branding) that's presently fitted to the Alur and Mach700 ( ChrisD ?) Also the Mach720 has the RS500 (36/52) fitted, not 105 Spelling hasn't improved either (triple) The chainset on the Mach 700 is listed as a bTwin own brand compact (bTwin Comp). It has the same 5 spoke arrangement as the Prowheel above, but looks different (at least it has a matt black finish, rather than the glossy black of the Prowheel or Shimano chainsets, which is in keeping with the Mach frame). I believe they have 'prowheel' cast on the inside of the crank arms, not sure if there's a model number?

long reach caliper brakes in the usual position I believe I guess that's on the new Triban frame then. It states that it is a new sloping top tube frame. I'm guessing it will be along the lines of the Merlin. That has similar clearances and will probably have the long reach calipers as well.

New range? Looks like the T3 frame and forks or whatever it's called lives on.

New range? Looks like the T3 frame and forks or whatever it's called lives on. No, new geometry, top tube looks triangular like the old T5/T7, longer head tube, long drop brakes for more tyre/guard clearance, pannier mounts on front forks (why?)

Yep, saw those, wondered if they were for own brand mudguards or something? All look slick - making my bikes look 'classic / retro' (old?) !
