Just noticed that the new 2015 Btwin range has been posted on FB: Quote from Mr Lazarus: 'New triban frame comes with 25c tyres as standard and can take 28c and tube profiles have been fine tuned and reworked. Mudguard clearance is better and pannier lugs remain. Really is an all new frame with focus on comfort and low weight. Still come with lifetime warranty. There will be more colour in the range. The ultra AF with ultegra will have the team colours (like the Mach). The rest of the range with have splashes of colours depending on then model (can't remember which ones though). As soon as I have pics I'll post them. I'm at the btwin village in two weeks and I'll try to take some snaps.'

A nice shiny range of bikes is no good to anyone of there is no stock. Hopefully they get those issues sorted though I'll not be buying anything new this year.

Interesting range of components. Still great value at those prices.

I do like the span of models there in terms of pricing and spec. Great to see the majority of the options in the Triban category with a couple of solid sub Β£300 builds. Also good to see a Tiagra build making a come back to the range at a competitive price. Very curious to see the new Triban frame. The changes to clearance sound very shrewd to me in terms of allowing folk to see their Triban as a genuine all rounder. If the supply lines hold up well and the reviews in the cycling press stay positive then I reckon we could be in for a substantial upturn in BROC forum membership

The Mach720 is already in stock Shame Tiaga is only an option on the flat bar version but they probably got such a good deal on 105 10s it was worth upgrading. I'm not sure if the table is correct, but the T300 seems now to be the T500? The new frame does look a step in the right direction in terms of all round versatility it just seems a shame not to go a step further to cantilever or disc brakes making cyclocross an option. Bit more info on the new frame here www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-520-c1-road-bike-id_8322663.htmlwww.decathlon.co.uk/triban-540-road-bike-id_8331275.html

It is good to see BTWIN addressing some of the issues such as mudguard clearance. The frame should be interesting. The Merlin PR 7 frame looked the bizz. I wonder if it will be similar? That 540 Triban is a bit of a mish mash of components. 105 shifters and derailleurs, Tiagra cassette (fine and dandy) .... and an Ounce chainset ( hmmmmhhh) The chainset is a hollowtech compact. (PROWHEEL OUNCE 721 compact bottom bracket (50 X 34)) Let's hope the quality has improved. it looks pretty decent in the photo. pro-wheel.com/main/?portfolio=ounce-721c-tt

Also the Mach720 has the RS500 (36/52) fitted, not 105 Spelling hasn't improved either (triple)

It has the same 5 spoke arrangement as the Prowheel above, but looks different (at least it has a matt black finish, rather than the glossy black of the Prowheel or Shimano chainsets, which is in keeping with the Mach frame).

The extra tyre clearance on the new Tribans, will mean more Tribanistas will keep them as "winter" bikes when the inevitable N+1 occurs.
