I can't say much since I am a noob when it comes to bikes. I still have the original wheel on. I will be changing them out. I was thinking Mavic Aksums but been wavering between them and the Fulcrum Racing 7 or 5. Just waiting for a bit more feedback to make up my mind. Since I don't have a benchmark to make comparison with theres not much to say. I am thinking that they are doing well. I have covered 150 miles in just under 3 weeks with the Hutchinson Equinox tires at 110 psi. Been in a few pot holes and they are fine. Looking forward to keeping them as my spare wheels and training wheels too when I get the new replacement. You seem to have spent a lot of money on those wheels of your spaceflightorange. Not really. the Mach 1 Omega wheels came to £85 and the tyres i have on them £7.99 each (Vittoria Zaffiro's from decathlon. good trustworthy tyre). The only expensive part was another 105 cassette. Incidentally, i decided to hang on to the Omega front and just swapped out the trainer tyre for a road tyre. Going to leave buying a new set of wheels until a while after i've got the T7a. I'll see what the stock wheels are like first. The Fulcrums i have came with my other bike

I saw those tire were only £7.99, being broke I'm tempted to replace the congealed soap tires that the T3 comes with.

I have a set of 28s on my Boardman and after 1000 miles, they're still good. the only problem i had with them was an off one evening, which also happened to be the only time i ever ran them at 110psi. switched back to 90psi after that. I simply think it was because there was less contact area on the road, though there could have been something on the road surface. I was cornering at 22mph when i came off. i take it a little easier now. the 23's, however, I run at 110psi they're actually the same price in Chain Reaction, I notice.

It's all very well you lot going on about the T7 (which I can understand, because it seems a fantastic bike - especially with new wheels) - it's just that I can't find a 7A size 57 anywhere. I've even searched the decathlon DOT it, be, de. Rather fustrating. I'm 175cm, with a medium reach, everything is medium (so to speak). There are 54s out there, but will a 175cm body be too squashed up on a 54 frame. PS please let me know if there is already a thread on this. I'll let you know how I get on. You T7 owners should think yourselves very lucky methinks link

If I was in the market for an upgrade the T7 would be my choice.

When I upgrade though, and as I've gotten used to the road bike position, I'm looking to come down a bit size wise 55 or 56 cm. I'm sure a 54 could be made to work however with a longer stem.

I'll have a go in the shop. My child-like eagerness for one means that I'll probably end up fudging it a bit. Mind you, those size charts put me slap bang in the middle between 57 and 54. My current 1980 Carlton Corsair (with an amazing frame and responsiveness - albeit oldskool) is a 57 frame and I find it a litte scarry when laid out on the bottom bars. You said "with a longer stem" you mean the bit the handlebars attach to? I've seen that this is a Btwin part. Something I could easly change if I become hooked. PS I'm an expat Brit living in France. I came back to London for a visit last week and in 2 years the city is CYCLE CRAZY! 2000 quid bikes locked up with a 3 digit combi codes, stupidly expensive wheels on old frames. France is getting left way behind. We own cycling!

Cheers Zolatan. There are hundreds of Decathlons in France, I'll have to get on the blower and respond "no-but" to the question "have you checked the website". It's going to be fun.

Yep, the bit that attaches to the handlebars. I've replaced the stock 100mm stem with an 80mm on my 57 and feel I've got a good fit.
It's not just London. The entire country seems obsessed with cycling. There are many more bikes in the road. Great news in my books.

I find it incredible to know that a 57 is so hard to find. I ride a 57.

ohoward...I should twist em up a bit then? I'll have a shoofty at the "my Triban" photos . Any just-out-of-shop tweet advice or like would be welcome. The gears weren't as spot-on as i'd have hoped. TWEEK TWEEK. Oh and new SPDs going on. And the seat is terrible
