It's not a Sora, like advertised. the 2300 group is lower than Sora, but (and I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong as i don't have a T3) The standard Ounce chainset should be square taper, so as long as the 2300 doesn't require a different axle length on the BB, it should go straight on. The T3 has 2300 mechs, so they will be fine.
A Sora chainset uses a Hollowtech BB, and would need a new BB too.

Yep, square taper on the Ounce - this should pop straight on. The gearing is slightly different of course, should be faster on the flat and downhill if you can churn it.

Yep will be straight swap but for money coild get tiagra chainset from wiggle and hollowtech bb as few on here have done which is probably an upgrade. Why changing stock chainset?

Yep, spot on, the Tiagra triple is circa Β£67.50 at Wiggle (free posting) so robertsims is showing why he's an accountant !!! About a fiver more expensive but better quality and it will get to you in no time as well, which makes sense.

Has anyone had any experience with FSA? One of my Bianchi riding mate swears by his FSA crankset & there's a FSA Energy triple with BB for not much more than a Tiagra one (without BB) down from Β£280 on CRC. I'm trying to find the catch!

I hAve FSA on my MTB and Hybrid, the FSA Gossamer its as good if not better than my 105 chainset, the CRC one has a mega exo BB, so as long as your frame can take that, its a great price

Just had a straight swap for a Tiagra triple and hollowtech bottom bracket. All fairly straight forward.

...............when I said 'all fairly straight forward' I mean for my LBS lol! Replacement crank, new chain and indexing gears Β£30.00 all in............which I was more than happy with. Probably could have done it at a push, but I don't have the tools, and for that money, not really worth the effort!

I have an FSA Energy on a BB30 on my Focus. Lovely chain set. If they do a Mega Exo it should be ok, but BB30 will deffo not work.
BTW has anyone switching from stock to a hollowtech on the T3 had any issues?
With older frames, its common to have to get the BB shell re-faced so that the hollowtech will sit flush, wondering if this would be required on the T3? I suspect not since its pretty much the same frame as the T5, but just curious
