Oh man razor what a shame. Damn thieving SOBs. Keep an eye out on ebay and particularly gumtree. Lot's of dodgy sellers on gumtree; who know nothing about bikes but isting very expensive ones. I remember when I purchased by bike, the Decathlon chap said keep hold of the serial no. and make sure to register it, which I think I did by signing up for Decathlon membership. They said then if my bike is found the police can check their databases for owner. I wasn't sure if this is something that happens automatically or you have to register with a police database first. I hope your contents insurance covers all your stuff. Along the lines of zol's link, here are two gps trackers available on ebay: back led version, fork tube versionNot cheap but could be really worthwhile in case of theft. Only issue with any of these devices will be, eventually thieves will know where to look and hack it off the bike.

Local newspaper on the case. Still hopeful as even though Dublin is a big city, it's a "small town" everybody knows everybody, if you know what I mean. Facebook has been awash with shares of my bike pic & this article. So hopefully some semblance of conscience kicks with these vermin or those that know them!! Because it looks like I've 2 hopes (Bob & None) of getting a new 57" T3! Unless I mail the article to the CEO of Decathlon UK!!!http://www.gazettegroup.com/news/man-pleads-for-return-of-bike-for-charity-race/

razor, all the best with this and hopes it either pricks someones conscience or at least someone else recognises it and reports it to the police. I suppose the benefit of a T3 is that they are fairly rare especially with your mods.

Thanks & sorry to be crude but T3's are as rare as Rocking Horse nugget in Dublin as Decathlon don't have Stores here!

Also see that the pic refers to a 'top of the range Mountainbike'.............that could be painful! :-(

Hi,
I am the Market Manager for b'Twin in the UK. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Terrible news. B'Twin's global director received an email from one of the forum members over the weekend to see if we could come to your rescue.
We all agree that we should help you out.
If you can get yourself to a Decathlon store, we will gladly donate a Triban 3 in a 57 so that you can complete your charity bike ride. I'll try to get one shipped over from France by the end of the week. I reckon you could be back in the saddle by Saturday morning.
What do you think?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

What do you think? Looking forward to hearing from you. Oh My God! What a way to start the week! I cannot believe this gesture from B'twin! I'm truly humbled by the response from yourselves @ B'twin but also from all the other guys & gals from this forum not least jasontimothyjones who took it upon himself to mail the TOP MAN in B'twin with my predicament! You know sometimes the internet & particularly the social side of it gets really bad press but I can tell you now, this is perfect example of how it can and DOES work. I'm truly blown away & looks like I'll be taking an unplanned but now a quite damn enjoyable road trip to Decathlon Belfast store very soon!! Thank You Thank You Thank You or as they say round these parts "Go raibh mile maith Agaibh!"

A Special Thank You to you Jason. Genuinely, lost for words. You didn't have to do what you did, so Thanks for taking the time to send that mail. For you it might not seem that much but for me it's result is truly monumental! Thank You Again!

I'm just so glad that we could be of assistance.
Could you kindly contact the store manager of the Decathlon Belfast store and arrange a collection time with him and his team. The number is 0289 0422049. I will send him an email to inform him of the situation.
Have a great day.
