The cycling gods got their own back. Managed only 19 miles in the most brutal of headwinds. I guess I deserved that for being a pansy yesterday with my hangover. Got a top ten on a Cat4 climb at least. Will have to hot it again on a calmer day.

Fancied a short one tonight but it's a no go with the rain. Bike is clean and my new brake pads haven't arrived yet. Hoping for a break in the weather to get a half century in on Sunday morning.

Fed up with the rain here. Don't like riding in the rain. Really think we've had enough this year now, a bit more than a week of dry weather would be nice!

Our forecast is a few rain slots but sun and clouds, except the window shows gusts, greyout and a mixture of rain and drizzle - radio just got it wrong as well.

I haven't been out for a couple of weeks now. First I went on holiday to Croatia for a week which was lovely and would like to have tested my legs in their hills.
After I came back I was scheduled to be getting back on the bike. The first Monday I did just that!!
Then unfortunately I came off my bike, not sure if I was knocked off or if I fell straight off. I was taken to hospital by an ambulance and then all hell broke loose! I didn't get off breathing apparatus until Thursday.
That was over a week ago and getting back to normal now. Still in hospital with scars and scabs reducing! Still waiting to be discharged by the hospital then go and get my bike from the police station. Then find out what needs to be changed on my bike and then get back to cycling training!!

Now that's a decent reason for not getting out. I did a long hospital stint not long ago. Not good. You have my sympathies and I hope you get better soon. I couldn't wait to get back on my bike. it took three months but I got there. Got the T3 for myself as a reward.

I have this as an incentive to get back on the bike too. I have a couple of big rides coming up which is incentive too. I have the wiggle Magnificat ride (standard - 81 miles) and also a place in the prudential RideLondon 100. I don't think I will be able to take part in both! ?

I'm getting a bit hacked off with this rain, it keeps moving around the forecasts and doesn't appear to be letting up in reality - may have to '#5 n #9' it later!

Cheers guys!
I know I should concentrate on getting right first, it's just a shame it's such bug races coming up (mainly prudential RideLondon) that I might miss.
The inaugural race and would like to be part of the first ever race if possible.
