Got my Count 14 yesterday. Gave it a little try today (in the house) and then uploaded the info to laptop. For some reason the info on the graph didnt match up to the data on the count. Max speed and max cadence were much lower when uploaded. Will keep trying it, not overly bothered about the upload really as Strava usually suffices for that area, just like to see speed and cadence while riding and the Count does that just fine. Shame its not a bit bigger tho so I can see the screen better lol

As cyrax says, very disappointing. Thanks for posting the info Zoltan, saved me a trip to Decca. As you know I was seriously considering this product - I'd own one now were it not for a glitch in Decca's online ordering system.
The search goes on...it seems all roads (ho ho) lead to Garmin if you want built-in quality, turn-by-turn, ANT+ etc, but I just can't justify paying more than the bike cost! The Mio with maps and ANT+ (305?) looks ok but a couple of online reviews sounded a note of caution for me, but others are liking it...

I thought I hit 40mph on a descent last week but my max speed on geonaute says 34. It's not a big deal but would like to know. I'll double check cadence max and heart rate max too, see if they are importing correctly.

I'm beginning to think the whole GPS computer thing is a bit of nonsense, sounds good etc but you only really need a computer for the dashboard function, maybe a computer to store info Started the unit up again this morning, all my details had to go in again, I want to keep this, I like persevering and getting it right but I'm convinced the fault isn't with me, it keeps letting me down Have reviewed it on the mecca Webby , we will see if they allow the review on because they do moderate reviews, won't look good thattheir first review pans it

Be written to geonaute and led them if they'll improve their dreadful online experience or if there is a way to customize the page, knowing the french I doubt the will give a merde They've got a 720 p camera at same cost, might swap it

My aim is to get down to 85 at first then 80. I'm 89kg at the moment. I don't think I look overweight as I'm stocky build but it's a whole lot to be lugging up the inclines. Anyways wonder how the refund policy is. It's not faulty per say, the device that is but the accompany platform that's poor. Either way, keep the money for the next bit of gear or I'd not mind a review of that 720p camera. Quite a few people on here have been asking about getting helmet cams. I'm interested in getting one.

Strava has all the info I need for after my ride. I can't say that I'd find any appeal in mapping a route to follow before I go out as I tend to just make it up as I go long, or at least have an idea where I'm going. Knowing the area well means I don't feel at any loss not having a map or rudimentary directions to follow. That is not likely to change unless I'm cycling on holiday somewhere, in which case, the make it up as you go along rule applies. There would of course be consultation with maps beforehand, as is customary in a new area, but a simple plan in place is all I think I'd need. It's part of the pleasure of cycling for me. PLus the fact I love photography and am liable to stop and take in a scene if I want to.
It really tickles me when those with their GPS devices turn the blasted things on when going for whatever daily routine runs they do. How the hell did they navigate anywhere before they got these toys?
The only thing I really miss at the moment is a cadence sensor. There was one on my other bike, but it was wired and rather messy looking, so I may be enticed to go for a wireless setup so as not to spoil the lines!

I do use one as it is but to be honest its not very good, have a couple of incedents on my YouTube page but CoulD be better You do need a camera for city cycling these days unfortunately although CA this month claimed Edinburgh was actively attacking the cycling problem, yet to see it I'd argue that if e device doesn't retain my info and doesn't facilitate the transfer of data to my PC, its faulty The web platform is just crap, not necessarily faulty but i know my PC is fine and y connection is plenty quick so it must he geonaute

Good question, can it do this zoltansocrates? had a good but frustrating play with it this evening in between a 4 year olds half hourly tantrums and wanting to wear spiderman suits to bed transferring routes onto the computer is extremely easy... basically you have to download OnConnect which is like a holding platform - all your data is stored there for either upload to mygeonaute or download to the device, its instantaneous, im impressed by that tbh, the route creation is getting simpler the more i learn, spent an hour and a half last night and a mery 20 mins on similar sized route today so it is becoming more intuitive you have to download mygeonaute too, i had an accoutn already prepped, but this is the letdown part - its as slow as it possibly can be, i hope this is sever issues their end that they will be beefing up and ive already sent a moan to them regarding the data, as ive said before its presented in a cartoony fashion and its this part of the use of the whole unit that is putting me off i hope its something they address Sounds like a software issue more than anything to do with the actually hardware/device. It's usual practice to push productions out and then fix/patch/update the software. Hopefully there will be one soon - particularly if a lot of people complain. You have complained right? Sounds like you are keeping it?

I haven't been very active this week and had saved this thread for later. Wish I had read earlier! I came across "Ride with GPS" while working on a client's computer your comment would have saved me some time. So you have been using Cyclemeter too have you? I have been digging into the features of it. Started using the coach after figuring out that by saving the route and calling it up at the start of a new ride it will "coach" you. Really handy feature. You use Memory Map? aint that a paid for map pack? I intend to get a Garmin 510 so I will be using Ride with GPS. Yes, been using cyclemeter for a while now and find it a great app. Use quite a few of the features, got quite a lot of routes saved on there which i ride regular, i have also imported routes into it. Use the Facebook integration quite a bit and also export all my rides out to Strava. Yes, memory map is a paid for app, i paid £20 for it when it first came out on the iphone, think it's only about a fiver now and the newer versions aren't as good. I have the desktop version and quite a lot of maps so it's not too bad. Very interesting. I love Cyclemeter! the best cycling app on the iPhone so far and I have been through a number. What gets my angry is whenever I export my ride data to Strava and it nicks about 3 miles and increase my time. Does that happen to you? I haven't connected to Facebook because I use Strava to do that before figuring out that Cyclemeter could do it too. Actually I could turn that feature off in Strava but not ready to do us just yet. So is the post on Facebook like that of Strava? Still sitting on the fence about the Garmin 510. Following zoltansocrates post on the B'twin product although I most certainly find it a ugly beast but someone told me that my bikeconsole case is just that too so I am not to be throwing mud around I guess - it is ugly! Curious about the memory map though was under the impression it was only for hikers/campers. Is it incorporated into any cycling app or is it just a standalone app that you use like google maps?

its sacked, going back tomorrow, today i recorded a ride and it is saved on the device but logging into geonaute says the device is empty, ive lost a ride, lucky im still using the count14 in tandem its too much, it does not do the job it is intended to do, it does not retain programmed information and i have to set up completely every 5 shut downs or so, there is only so much entering your age weight height wheel size etc before it becomes tedious, it mysteriously lost 50% battery last night despite being switched off, it does not offer the online back up it needs as ive already documented - and that, despite not being a physical element to it, is still part of the deal - i cannot make challanges and that may or may not be important to some people but its a function it should have and doesnt - the whole geonaute online experience is actually pretty garbage when it comes to the satcount, im very disappointed, its the first btwin product that has been a let down, so here is a new situation for me as far as decathlon are concerned - returns, hate doing it but i think its justified in this case, see what they say about that one.... Ah just read this mate you can ignore my previous question. Send it back!

to bad zol. it could of been a great product for the price. you don't sound like one to give up easy on such things but i feel it's tested even your limits. i wouldn't be surprised if their website is poor. i find decathlon's website buggy, btwin's not usually up and the same with geonaute; i could not put up with more than the odd time it not working. it sounds like the actual functionality of the mygeonaute site is not quite there. the saving grace is that the count14+ is good and you can happy continue using that unless you are going to look at a garmin gps etc? im going to avoid the garmin route, its like the iphone of cycling computers, like to have stuff thats a bit different, might look at the bryton yes i agree the whole decathlon/btwin/geonaute online experience is garbage, really bad, should have put two and two together but by and large my experience with them has been enjoyable, as arny said himself in an exclusive reveal about 3 weeks ago - they are having problems with the software - aint they indeed, but i shouldnt have to put my information in everytime i start the thing, that to me says there is an inherent fault - as a loyalty card holder, technically i have 90 days from purchase so i could wait and see how it pans out but to be frank i just want it out of my site now, one big pet hate is stuff that doesnt do its job It all comes down to poor software design and implementation. It's clear that they were pushing a product onto the market at a price point that they think everyone will jump to. It seems its not just the likes of the game software houses are doing it. Anyone here ever played Eve? So you are comparing Garmin to big bad Google now are you zoltansocrates? You are such a comspiracy theorist!
