I completed the Jurassic Beast Sportive on Sunday riding my Triban 3. 64 miles through amazing Dorset countryside mixing with some bike snobs on their Pinarellos and Cannondales.
Anyone else trying any Sportives this year? My Triban will be making another appearance at the Steeplechase Sportive in September.

Very good work kevinpeach51! I am trying to get a group together for the Caver Wolverhampton Marathon 20k Cycle Event in Wolverhampton. Is that a possibility for you? Then there is the Cannock Chase event in October I think its hosted by Evans Cycle.

I am doing my first one this Sunday, Cotswold's Bike Ride, a 40 mile charity ride for The British Heart Foundation. Although I am struggling with my fitness. Had a 4 day bender on my mates stag weekend and managed to bring back a flu bug, so havent been out on the bike for over a week. But come Sunday morning I will be there at the start line! wish me luck

It takes in some of my usual routes, and then some!

Check it on my Strava link app.strava.com/activities/53721298#achievements The route outside Wolverhampton to Wednesbury isn't a part of it.

I rode the 40 mile Wiggle no excuses sportive in Huntingdon back in March in the rain and wind. Was good especially for free, however it was fairly flat! I saw one other T3 there.
I did sign up to the New Forest sportive in April, but it had to be postponed due to a flooded event centre which was a shame as that would have been a great ride.
I have instead re-arranged my ride for the 81 mile sportive at Newbury on Wiggle's Magnificat. Is anyone else riding in that?

I'm only doing 60mile which is a distance I've done before but want to use it as training for a 117mile charity ride from Bristol to London in August.

Whitestar1, no, 32 miles is the most I have done, so 40 shouldn't really be much of a problem, I hope!

well done that's very good over this way we have the Exmoor beast and Exmoor beauty which I think was last month and the beast is in October. I maybe would have ago at a sportive but with someone but in the meantime I will just save my £20 or £30 and go out on sundays for free

I intend doing the 100k course. Much cheaper to enter but you do have to be more self sufficient! www.aukweb.net/events/detail/13-264/
