hiiya chaps, As we've all heard, the tour of Britain has been announced and the stages are set Now, what I was thinking was have a cycle ride event where we start at Decathlon and ride up to either 2 points of the stage: 1. Stoke on trent and the starting point. 2. Drayton Market and watch them race by. Obviously spend a few good hours up there as a day off then ride back. Now sadly, some people might not be able to make it to this, but theres nothing stopping you from hosting one yourself and a few of you riding to 1 of the other stages A Few photos, videos and good get-together for all the owners Let me know what you think and if all goes well, I'll be letting my manager know and if you have success where you are. Contact your local decathlon and they might help you out. PEOPLE ON THE DECATHLON-STOKE BIKE RIDE:1. Arny5Triban - B'TWIN Triban 5 WhiteJdebuse - B'TWIN Triban 3 Red cocopops - B'TWIN Triban 3 Red clayhead - B'TWIN Triban 3 Red (TBC) BLUE: represents Decathlon staff

I am interested. Already told my boss that I am out for the first stage of TDF. I haven't thought of the ToB yet.

And im sure it would be a great day out for us to ride our bikes, as well as get some snappy photos of wiggo Plus great exercise. I'll put it this way we did this last year when it went round the stafforshire border, and we ridden up to trentham gardens, across to alton and back down. Overall we did 100 miles and we were back by about 5ish. But it only took us just under 2 hours to trentham gardens from wednesbury decathlon. So to ride to drayton market, rest, eat drink, look, shop then ride back. Wont be a bad ride. Or we could go stoke? Bigger journey, better ride more fun

Mate. I'd be a dribbling jelly by the time I got to Drayton. Time to start training me thinks. It would be a great run out as a group though. Put the word out. How far is Stoke?

You're probably right. The start would have a good buzz with loads of like minded folk knocking about.

If we can get enough people on this ride as a group and we all chip in on some tops to ride in to match, my store manager will probably be happy to knock some of the price off as have free printing with B'Twin and decathlon all over it with our names on. I'll give you a picture with what we did last year and send you a link to where you can see us at the start. (will admit, not the best image but it was a good time to see yourself on TV )

Sounds silly but it's just a great way to ride with us... Drive down to decathlon car park, park at the far back of the store (near the In 'n' Out service, I will let my manager know about the vehicles that park there) Ride with us up to stoke to watch it, spend time there and ride back down. That is if you want to ride with us because you can just meet in stoke if you like... If not, the alternative to stop the fuel from being a waste. Take the partner or family (don't know what you have) down to Decathlon, get dropped off there and let the partner/Family drive to walsall and spend the day down there shopping and looking. What you think?

I do like the idea of riding from Decathalon to Stoke, but I don't think I would be able to ride back again. I would,nt be able to press the clutch in for the drive back. Unfortunately, mrs doesn't drive so that's out. I sure something could be sorted,we have plenty of time yet.
