Some interesting cycling ahead there samk. My plan was to track the south coast more as I'm based near Poole in Dorset. I'm not familiar with your north coast route. Day 4 looks like it will be really scenic but also hard work as it's so rolling but I think that would be the case whichever way you go through Cornwall. Gotta love St Ives with a hill at the end whatever way you approach. Hope you have a great ride.

Looks a great few days riding samk. I'll be driving down and then just riding out of St Ives each day, its about a 50 mile loop down to Lands End, over to Penzance and back up to St Ives.

That will be a challenging loop Andy, but fantastic riding. Look out for tractors and buses coming at you along narrow lanes that have stone walls disguised behind bushes on either side. There are some corking punchy hills in and around St Ives. When we were out walking through town there a couple of years ago my family laughed their heads off as I chased after a guy on a Giant road bike round the corner along from the Tate St Ives just to see if he made it up the crazy hill leading away from the beach.

I know the hill you're talking about. It's got a gradient sign has it not?
Btw I will only be cycling to St Ives, and getting the train back. Should only take 7 hours instead of 4 days

It's a good ride ChrisD, did it a couple of times 2 years ago. Looking forward to tackling it with the standard chainset!

That's the one. Thought it might be more than 15% to be honest.
