Isn't it about time you fitted the stem correctly?

very smart. very clean - i am shamed, my girl picked up all sorts of carp from the little lanes today.
notice you dont have dust caps on. knowing you, im guessing this is no oversight. so - why not?

Stem will be flipped back over when i get back into it more than one day a week and I ache less! It's one I've those things I allow comfort over aesthetics.
Dust caps are not required as a presta vavle screws shut. Spare tube has a cover on to stop it piercing the tube while rolled and stored.

Tried the stem flipped back over - NOPE! don't like it, it's just not comfortable for me at that height. All back to how I had it, everything now marked with a tippex pen incase of slippage.

When you swapped the standard triple chainset for the compact 50/34 did you have to change the front mech and the bar lever that does the changes for the front rings?

No I kept the front triple shifter and Mech, adjusted the limit screen and cable tension so that I had one extra click from the small to big ring, that's not much of an issue. - I upgraded to 105 5700 later in the year.

Report back on Lithium tyres, they are great. They obviously roll well, but on better wheels I think that is the main factor. They feel very grippy on the corners and when pushing on out of the saddle uphill.
Would recommend for a well priced folding tyre for good weather. I think I'll stick to the Schwalbe Lugano on the 501 wheels for winter as I've not had any issues with them yet.

I was really happy with the Vittorio Rubinos I had before, but these things have been even better. So much so, that I've bought another pair. For Β£24 for two plus 2 x inner tubes, you just can't go wrong!

Are you on the 25s or 23s Ian? I've been using the 23s and they are excellent but have a pair of 25s in the post just to give them a try. I was wondering what pressure difference to go for. Currently running the 23s at 7.5 bar.
