So after a month of using clipless pedals I finally had my first tumble. Thankfully it was just on my driveway as I was waiting for the missus.
Where is the worst/funniest places people have had tumbles as a result clipless pedals?

Hope you didn't do any damage..to the bike that is At the risk of jinxing myself, I must be one of the lucky ones as thankfully never failed to unclip and fall in the year I've been using SPD-SL/Look Keo type pedals. Only had one near tumble after struggling and panting to get up a very steep hill. I got to the top and just wanted to fling my self off, forgetting I was clipped in. Luckily still managed to recover. Maybe it's because I haven't overtightened my pedal spring, that it's stable yet easily released. Now please don't you all jinx me with your evil eyes

So far i have not took a tumble, was very close though once. I had just finished a ride and pulled up outside my house and propped myself up on our drainpipe without unclipping (I never do this),Looked at my cycle computer and i was only one or so km from a milestone record at the time, so i decided to do the extra km, i tried to do a u turn in top gear slightly up hill and have no idea how i never fell off in front of the wife and child.

I've done it three or four times, all absent mindedly rolling to lights and failing to remember to lean to the the side I'm unclipping from. All early in the morning as well.

Ive been off twice due to forgetting to unclip and have come close a couple of times stopping at junctions or light's or on a rwally steep climb when ur momentum has all but gone. My friend who recently bought a T3 got the spd sl pedals and I warned him u will fall off everyone does - 'no I won't' he says and off he rides out of view only to be followed by a cry of 'b@!!@%*s' as he promtly falls off.

Done it a few times myself. Once in the road just outside my house on the mountain bike...managed to get wedged between two parked cars which made trying to get up a bit awkward Last time was on the father-in-laws driveway. Got distracted saying hello and took a slow motion tumble to the left. Looked up to see him running round the back of the car to see if I was alright...I couldn't get up for laughing at my own stupidity.

1. Awkward if it happens at the lights in-front of everyone 2. Surprised I've not seen some CCTV footage of it happening to someone (preferably in super slow-mo)

Had one comedy sideways tumble on a slight incline on my first MTB clipless ride back in the early 90's, but am so used to them now that I feel unsafe if I'm NOT attached to the bike.

Same thing happened to me some days ago, fell to the right as I failed to engage one of the cleats and couldn't propell me thru my driveway as it is quite steep. There was no damage to the bike or myself, luckily no one saw me either because it was embarrassing to say the least...

I seriously doubt that anyone can beat me "horrible" experience!!! Fell right at the Wednesbury Decathlon store main door when proving to the chaps that the Wellgo clipless pedals were rubbish. Just cold not get my foot out of the clip before hitting the bin and ground! I rest my case that day - but they wouldn't take it back, had to buy Keo Easy pedals from the store that day. Well they did install them for free.

I had clipless put on my MTB before I got the T3, fell off at a roundabout junction second time out. The woman in the car behind jumped out of her car thinking I was having a fit on the road but I was trying to get unclipped and p*ssing myself laughing. My next door neighbour fell off in his garage practicing so he wouldn't be 'one of those idiots who can't even remember to unclip their shoes'!

Trying to kick your feet free would like you're having a fit especially after falling off the bike. Good of her to check on you. She could of easily laughed at the cyclist falling and drove off.

Fell elegantly through the plastic barriers round a big hole for a new gas main. Luckily lots of people were there to watch me.
Off road, I have unclipped in the air, jumped up and grabbed a tree branch, while the bike continued without me in Les Arcs. The two witnesses thought I was some sort of cycling god. To be honest it was just a crash with opportunities.

For both of those you ARE a riding god ! good man knocks spots of my going up hill legs on fire to the point of going so slowly couldn't unclip before I less than graceful just fell sideways onto the grass verge next to me , only to do that getting up quickly looking around to see if anyone was watching whilst trying to look nonchantly cool.
