It seems like it has been a long time since Bergen Noone else watching the WC?? Lots of things going on in the peloton since Sept, including smaller teams, new names/sponsors, new jerseys and new challenges (Froome for the Giro).

I guess that's Froome's "Sports Personality of the Year" award out the window then From the little that's been revealed so far, the impression is that this may genuinely not have been an an attempt to cheat. Will come down to the science behind Sky's challenge to the result, but if they're successful it could suggest test criteria may need revised.

There's plenty of evidence to suggest that exercise-induced asthma is actually a genuine condition (the fact is that many professional cyclists get it, rather than many asthmatics become professional cyclists), although isn't Chris Froome a lifelong asthmatic? Even so, it will be interesting to see how the Sky doctors explain the high levels (twice the allowed limit). Froome doesn't strike me as a cheat so I hope for his sake that he's able to set the record straight.

I hope not, but I guess I'll never know for sure.

Seems strange to me how he would be double the limit for just one stage. Presumably as race leader he was tested after virtually every stage?

I guess that's Froome's "Sports Personality of the Year" award out the window then I think you are right there. if we are honest he was never going to win, 3rd place maybe.
