Wow - I thought that I got a good deal on my AFGF520! That price doesn't cover the cost of the components! It's a great bike and those 28mm tyres handle poor surfaces so well. The only negatives that I could find in any reviews were the lack of rack mounting points and the external cabling. I'm not bothered about the lack of rack mounting points cos I have my T3 set up as a light tourer on 25mm tyres and Raceblades. Suppose that you could use P clips if you really wanted to. As for external cabling; I do all my own maintenance and think that internal cabling is a pain in the ar$e. I hope that she has many happy km on it :-) I'm still trying to get her to do the 'first' km on it! The perils of buying bike for a 'non-cyclist' when the weather is awful! I need to work out whether I can put a different skewer in the back wheel so that I can mount the bike on a TT. At least then I can do a bike fit and get her used to changing gear.

Ah, softly does it ;-) I've put Raceblade Pro XLs on mine and they work well - that'll help keep her backside and feet dry. I suppose if you wrap her up - overshoes, decent gloves and longs etc and try and avoid taking her out when it's too sloppy she'll be okay. I don't use a TT, but yeah, the through axle could be a bit of a challenge - hadn't thought of that.
