Just google-mapped the Oxford store. Dangerously close! And I travel out that way a bit.

I would probably never have even purchased my now beloved Triban T5A if it hadn't been for Rocinante and Radchenister and all the really helpful, friendly, and genuine folks on this forum. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the creators of this forum, it is one of the most useful and enjoyable things I look at online regularly. I like the name, the identity, the independence, and the general spirit of all contributors - so whatever happens going forward, I genuinely hope that the heart of the site is not lost in the process. Gush over, better go and eat some very rare steak before I get tempted to try on the wife's underwear.... P.S. Looking forward to a morning of Triban-spotting at the MacRide Shakespeare100 on Sunday in Warwickshire/Gloucestershire

I'm a big fan of this site but for me the name change does rather skew its ethos. It began in order to celebrate one of the best value bikes of all time. Soon after I remember Redleader was in 2 minds whether it should be extended to include the T5 and T7 and asked for members' thoughts. In my view it was right to include them because they share the Triban heritage and are also great value bikes, but extending this to the whole btwin range, including all future products we know nothing about, just doesn't sit well with me. It also now has the smell of simply promoting Decathlon rather than a particular outstanding product. Any big bucks buyout offers yet Redleader? I'm not intending to be negative because this site has been very helpful with a great camaraderie. It would be shame if that changed. Change must happen I suppose but in the end those of us with T3's will know we are special

Lighten up I reckon . Let's just say, for argument's sake, that the name change was the first step in the buttering up process to sell the site on to Decathlon or, at the very least, to create some sort of affiliation (with prompt email informing Head Office of the name change - rather puzzling to say the least), then you would no longer have the independence you, and, I would guess, just about everyone else here, want to preserve. For all we know there could be behind the scenes manoeuvrings, possibly even involving yourself, along these lines. Obviously Redleader can do what he likes with the site, but it would be interesting to see if some of the good folk here would find this all rather distasteful. As I said though, just for argument's sake.

So do you reckon Mr Radchenister is selling our cycling secrets to the French? An undercover agent secret? We're all doomed, Mr Mainwaring..!!

A motorcycling forum I once used took an unsavoury direction which annoyed a lot of the members. All that happened was that someone else set up a new forum and everybody jumped ship.
I'm quite confident that this is not going to be the case here so calm down people.
