Anyone into climbing hills? If so you might be interested in the Britain's 100 Greatest Climbs Strava Club in conjunction with Veloviewer. I've pottered about the hill/mountainsides for years but this might just give me an incentive to climb up more of them around the country and do it a wee bit quicker than snail pace. The veloviewer pages collates all the 100 climbs and provides a good record of how a member is progressing up the 100 climbs. blog.veloviewer.com/britains-100-greatest-cycling-climbs-official-leader-board/I think it might still be collecting membership rides for the database. It is only a few climbs for me and I've done more than that.

I am surprised that I get some 'top 100' points for one climb I partly walked and are 5900 out of 6000 on the strava leaderboard. Other than that its a great idea. I like ticking boxes so I'll be looking for relatively local ones to attempt.

It is a top 100 of riders registered to the club rather than all Strava users. You will go down the list as more members join.
My problem is that some of my rides are not being uploaded to the database.
Just bought the two UK books so need to find my climbing legs pretty soon. Simon Warren has produced a 100 climb book for France as well.

Nice one. Cheers for that. I've been working off a similar one but it isn't as well presented as this one. Just drawing up my routes and getting organised. I've done quite a few of them mainly up north but pre GPS days so I'll have to do it all over again.

This one has all the climbs from both books. The guy is adding the second hundred climbs to both Strava and Veloviewer. I'll be planning rides in each area to include both if they can be done together. 200 Greatest Climbs

Kind of wish I lived closer to some of these hills. I'd like to start tackling some actual hills but there are only 2 within a reasonable distance from me, and barely any other hills around. I know I ramble on about "good hills" on my rides sometimes but I know they are nothing really. There is only 1 close to me that I think is an actual challenge but even that doesn't compare to most of these ones.

Well I've joined for the moment not sure if any of the hills are in striking distance or if i can climb them. Still gives me another target to attempt..
Still working on the 100+ mile ride yet.

Not much of a climber but I can see that you are!

Now climbed Box Hill twice in the last 7 days, both times on the middle cog.
Hoping to cycle to Brighton this weekend and try to knock off Ditchling Beacon on the way (along with another BH ascent).

OK, I have to say I think I am now hooked.
Did Ditchling Beacon on the weekend, and spent most of the day eyeing up all the ones in the South East.
And about to press the 'buy' button on the books.
This after doing only a total of 3 of them so far.
