rad - going to be brutally honest and apologies to anyone offended or who takes offense - abs none intended. your seniority within this forum is going to attract the 'yes' mob even if you were to draw a dog poo on the shirt and offer that - we can talk about if for ages and nothing will happen, the fact is your first design - the classic - is a banger- superb, id wear it proudly - so it doesnt say triban owners in big and bold, so what, TOC is for us, a trek rider isnt going to look at it and suddenly change his bike is he, this is our wee team/forum and anyway the web addy will be on it i actually DO like the r/w/b toc sign looks great, better than expected now is the time to shut down the deliberation, certainly go with classic and gets some jerseys on backs. if its successful enough within the TOC forum we can look at later issues, but this is our first step, one shirt should do, and that shirt is the classic - well played - great simple and yet standout *stands and applauds* I don't think for one minute my role as moderator has anything to do with it, why would anyone say they like something when they don't, in my experience most people don't like things as their default position ! Believe me Z, I've been through enough design debates and sat through hundreds of meetings for days on end - one school we did took 4 weeks to work through the signage, colour coding, room names and numbers, furniture and decoration co-ordination and a further three whole days of meetings organising the furniture order with the specialist. I have even had 2 hour meetings with a school over the colour red alone as it sends school kids bonkers, my music wing ended up being terracotta lol ! Thanks for the feedback though, I am listening and trying to get the thing 'real', I have also tried to work on Arny's TOC lettering idea and also take on many other comments (including yours re liking classic design of course), what I'm showing is the tip of the iceberg in terms of attempts that were binned; so when I ask for others to try something, I am not being flippant, I have been there and tried it. I couldn't get many variants past the self critical test, although I would love to see someone produce a successful attempt at making a different idea work and would also applaud that if it happens (still waiting) - it isn't too late; if I wasn't such a tyrant I might have tabled something that others liked more than I did myself of course but if I did that I'd have put up maybe 30 options. I have asked Arny for input and also am considering investigating if Decathlon / BTwin would like to get involved, the kit design lends itself to sponsor buy in . Getting the price down is dependent on numbers who are into the idea for real. Quite simply, the cynical side of me expects the stone throwers to sink the ship before it floats but if people do like it or can improve it, then all for 1 and 1 for all !

Yeah yeah, stuck record, show us the answer then ! As I said, it isn't necessary for me or anyone else to provide an alternative design in order to demonstrate both your offerings, the basic and the deckchair, fail one of the most fundamental requirements of a jersey, namely, to say what it represents. If you can't handle what was intended to be helpful criticism then so be it.

fredscuttle, much as I enjoy your positive (if a little monotonous) input, I will repeat, in Jermemy Paxman style - show me something better? ... and for the record, do you actually own a Triban yet, or are you just here for the trolling?

Thought so, why not repent and become a 'normal' member (you could be the first lol) - I really don't like having to use the ban button ?

I like them both, but I'll plump for the top one.
I'd buy one, but on the condition it will definitely fit me! I'm 6' 7" and getting any clothes to fit is a complete nightmare never mind figure hugging cycling kit.
Well done to everyone involved.

If a touch of humour, irony and honest opinion are banning offences in your view, ban away. Won't look too good for the reputation of your friendly cozy site though, eh?

Ok here's my two penny worth... Wicked! I like both. I'd probably err on the side of the classic one, only as I'd feel a little less conspicuous, plus the black is more slimming!!! Haha My only niggle is could the web address be .co.uk rather than .net? It's one of my pet niggles and nothing to do with design. Good effort tho, looks professional and I couldn't do any better. On the flip side, I think a dog poo picture on a shirt would be wickedly funny and I'd probably wear that too!!! Well done to all the creative types that have made designs, I can't do that sort of thing hence why I didn't try The web address is something we need to look into; thanks for the input. I should reiterate, I am after focussing minds here, it doesn't have to be fixed yet - the purpose of the thread was to get solid input.

Being one of the few people to constructively criticize your designs hardly constitutes trolling or a lack of team spirit. I was simply giving my opinion, which differs from the majority but I thought that was the whole point of this thread, to solicit a range of views.

rad you have maybe mentioned this i dont know but it sounds awfully like you are an architect, being in that game myself, albeit on the HVAC side i know itll take another 6 months before fruition, assuming that my assumption is correct of course ?!?!?!
anyway im going out tonight to put the 1000th mile on my triban (8 weeks old now) and im doing it in a pink giordana top this evening, so there you go, if that isnt impetus enough to get cracking - a sight you do not want to see - lol

Yep Z, still practising, might get it right one day ! With enough signed on the line it'll take 4 weeks to get them done. I have a lot of paperwork from IMP Sports and the word has been put out to other sources also; if we had 13 definite punters on the Classic we could put it in place at Β£33.50 plus Β£50 / 13 = Β£37.35 (assuming no sponsorship - BTwin might come in perhaps). Then we're onto shorts v bibs and I need to pin down the detail on that but prices start at Β£33.50 and up. I need to talk to them about different variants and how that works.
