Had my bike fit this morning at my local bike shop. Shop was closed, giving me 1 to 1 attention for the appointment. highpeakcycles.co.uk/bike-fit/After 1.5 hours of messing about before we even looked at the bike I realised that this was going to be longer than the advertised 2 hours. In the end it was 3.5 hours. "2 hours is the minimum I'd take" he said at the end. He made some radical changes to my saddle position which will take a while to adjust to. Am going to make the changes gradually over the next few weeks, while i do the exercises he has given me. He also said to pop in again after my next long ride to see how things are going. unbelievable value Β£90- very genuine bloke - really highly recommend.

Not much. My number 1 problem is IT band; some spacers on the pedals so i could set cleats for feet even further out. And some stretches and pressure points to manipulate.
I had my saddle was very low and far forward due to tightness in leg muscles. I'll move it up and back gradually over the next few weeks.
For shoulder and neck pain- some stretches.

erm.. dont know - ive only got 2mm He had some really big ones - up to a couple of cm! though they had their own thread for the pedal to fit into. like this: www.i-ride.co.uk/Pedal-Spacers-1.aspx

Sounds like you'd be perfect for a limits power meter.
I'm convinced I'd benefit from a smaller Q-factor... but I can get no narrower without heel rub.
