Been getting bit more into my time trials this year and fed up with my beloved red T3 being a 'half way house' as road bike with clip ons so treated myself to Fuji Aloha 1.1 TT bike solely for races (and turbo). And with the AliExpress deep rim race wheels I got earlier in the year on it (it came with cheap aluminium 30mm wheels what will do as decent spares/winter wheels). Will get some better pics tomorrow in daylight. Got it from chain reaction cycles for Β£585 after the 10% British Cycling discount. Had it just over a week now and after lots of fiddling with set up on the turbo trainer now have (hopefully) a fairly aero but maintainable position. Maiden race (and ride) tomorrow in last club 10 of season. Then have an open 25mile TT on Sunday, then a 25 mile 3 man TT on 2nd October which is a bit different and hopefully fun. Then on the turbo for winter with it until next season!

Nice looking steed robertsims , especially with your deep section hoops. Just needs a splash of red somewhere! Have been following a few guys down my way who have invested in TT bikes for the first time this season and they have been giving the usual crew who top the leaderboard at each club TT some serious challenges each week. Hope you have a load of fun on the 10 tomorrow and on the two 25s before the end of the season.

Smash fest for tonight then, you'll have her screaming along.
Can't stand climbing on mine, even little ones are horrid.
Do you find your knees banging on the extensions out of the saddle? they are sticking back a lot less than mine, and mine do on occasion.

How much difference should the bike make on a 10 mile TT? I would guess between one and two minutes but no idea really.

The actual bike probably makes not that much difference, however hopefully it allows me to get into a more aero position which should make a difference...once I'm used to that position. We will see tonight but not expecting a pb

Well: www.strava.com/activities/694672191Did a 24:48 for the 10 miles so just under 24.5mph avg. That's about 20 secs slower than my pb (24:28) but was my 2nd faster ever time and was pleased under 25mins. Bike felt good for first ride and fairly comfy. Need to practice in position and dial it in bit more. Conditions decent tonight but not perfect as although wind was light it was in worst direction, with nearly all regular riders about 40-60secs slower than last race (which I couldn't make!). Good news though was finished 13th out of 36 which is proportionally my best finish by quite a way as never been better than 1-2 places above halfway up table! Lots of winter work to do but feel positive for next season.
