Looking serious - but still can't gel with those lids, perhaps you should have a shorty on if that's how you sit naturally (like Sky) - mind you, I couldn't contemplate even sitting on that bike at the mo' with the state of my ribs.

Was up by Didmarton and Westonbirt. Not flat but no large climbs, just drags all the time and windy on the top! Need to practice croaching my neck downwards but hard to hold it for an hour

yep, embrace the inner turtle. It takes practice and training. I can't hold it for an hour, but can for a 10 now. On longer ones, turtle on the faster bits and rest your neck when going uphill.

Yes - just lots of practice on the turbo over winter to strengthen the neck. Think head needs to go down not up, as in vertically down to bring tail closer to back, not looking down

In effect, you can shrug your shoulders, but keep head held up. It basically as you say moves the head downward, so will pull the tail into the back. Dreadful photo of me (and in my very unflattering spare skinsuit), but this is where I end up: Or this better shot, but less useful angle:
