So I'm thinking £2,000 max.
Full Ultegra 11 speed Di2 7Kg or less Be nice if it was aero
I was looking at a Planet X Nanolight but they are obsolete and actually a bit on the heavy side. RT90 does not get favourable reviews. I don't need relaxed geometry so a full on race bike is fine.
Suggestions please.

Cloud cuckoo land IMO, no point in it unless going proper racing and then only just justifiable for some very minor marginal gains. That is unless you're doing it just because you can and then in which case buy what you like (I know a fair few who are in a position to do this and have done a few times, particularly one who's spent big bucks in their youthful race days but now opts for vfm, plus going on holiday more often). Had a conversation with someone I know from school today who's boss was being talked into an expensive Cav style S-Works at the Spesh shop but is now thinking of going Bianchi, at a much reduced 'lowly' 2K budget, or alternatively spending a bit more on a titanium bike for longevity, as a more practical 'keeper' solution. Nothing wrong with nice kit but you need to be willing to sustain a refit of any kit / part anytime something goes pop, or if you crash it (my mate crashed his bespoke custom Burls about a month after receiving it this spring), this is of course done at more expense than previously experienced on your vfm bike, you have to keep it top notch, or you risk running a compromised machine that just isn't running at the level it could be, so negates owning it. Be too precious about using a more expensive bike and you also risk having a pricey ornament that's too pristine to use properly and if not used often enough, is soon a nice retro classic example of yesterday's news. ... but it's your money and choice, I suppose 2K isn't really a lot in road bike circles but you might do better building your own, in which case, the question is what frame to buy !?

Ive been looking at the ribble gran fondo with full 5800 & fulcrum racing 5 wheels. Ribble bikebuilder seems good vfm & a good place to start if you've got 2k to spend. not sure about the 7kg weight limit but the Aero883 might be worth a look.

I'd be skipping on Di2 myself. Replacement parts can be wild expensive if you ever have an off. Under 7kg might be a bit of an ask. You will be relying on an online purchase to manage di2 and that weight.
Is there something you fancy or are you just wanting best bang for your £££.
I'm struggling to pick something at the £1k mark

At 8kg might be too heavy for you but seems a great price for the spec. Wheels alone are £799 and at £1700 you have £300 to bargain with them to upgrade to Ultegra www.wiggle.co.uk/mekk-primo-62-105-2015/

I was thinking a Merida Reacto, but looking the reviews looks like it would need a wheel upgrade to get close your weight figure.
Plus Merida is a bit difficult to find weights of their bikes anyway. I know when I bought my Ride I found the weight on forum somewhere.

For my two bob's worth, all other considerations aside, I would go for one of these. www.evanscycles.com/products/trek/domane-43-2015-road-bike-ec068736#features. There are other suppliers. I hired a Tiagra version for the Greek Odyssey a couple weeks ago and found it brilliant. Its light enough, the ride is really smooth and the handling superb. The disc version won a group test in this month's "Bike Etc" "you've got a bike that handles like no other road bike we've ever ridden, with pin point precision downhill" Unfortunately I already have three bikes and another would end in divorce.

If i had that money to spend id be browsing canyon - ( tribanist has one maybe ask him), or maybe ribble, because they let you customise how you like. or for 2k - maybe you could get a custom build? happy shopping!
