Think I'm gonna hold off until the end of the season and try to get a decent 2014 bike in the sales. Liking the Lapierre Sensium 300 at the moment, or maybe a BMC, Giant Defy Advanced 2 or Spesh Tarmac. same here del,im going to wait and see what bargains will be on offer

Trouble is, you can be in the waiting for a deal 'boat' forever, there will always be something on the horizon. I expect that you could buy this Holdsworth and run it for a year or so and only lose £100-£150, so you could be on carbon now, rather than next year (if you don't take your new bike out over winter). The question for me is the geometry and also by spending a little more, you could lose another kilo (not a lot, but if this is a big upgrade, then you want to get it right).
I expect that prices of carbon frames will continue to fall to the point where they will get close to top end alu, so brands will have to do something different to keep their prices up.
Still, nice bike.

I totally agree there, you buy and ride what you like not what the trend is! I really like the celeste very much but also like the red impulso

I have had a look at the Holdsworth Trentino frame and the Planet X Pro Carbon and I am sure that they are identical. The geometry are the same (when you look at measurement size and not the name e.g. 48). Also, they look identical when putting them on top of each other in a graphics package.
So, the £300 discount from the pro-carbon is the difference roughly between Tiagra and Ultegra, which sounds about right.

Really, never even thought they could be the same but with a different paint job. Did you study them in the flesh, ie size of tubing/seat stays etc, or just on the web? Seems a good discount for the frame only, might have to consider a trip to Sheffield! Humm....

Had a look at the website and i think you are right Panda, although the 48 is a medium in one and small in the other!

I am sure that I am right, lots of shared components, but the Holdsworth is 800g heavier than the pro carbon, so I am not too sure where the weight is. Surely the groupset can't be that different?

Based on this geometry for the T3 (http://biziosona.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/geometrie-route-sport-fr.gif), my 54" T3 is pretty much the same size and geometry as a small Holdsworth Trentino.
So it looks like it should be a very similar riding position.
