How do you warm up for a ride?
Do you do off-the-bike warm ups?
Do you take it easy for a few km? How many?
Do you not warm up at all?
I generally only do 60-90min rides and I find by the time I'm warmed up there's not a lot of ride left!

I never bother. First miles takes care of it if you are suitably clothed. Then again I don't follow convention. Works for me.

take it steady first 5mins then do another 5mins steady but mixed with few 30 second blasts to get legs going. This if if I know I'm gonna be pushing hard or if doing some segment hunting sprints! If going on long steady rides then don't bother-you'll just warm up naturally.

I don't usually bother. By the time I get to the top of my road I'm warmed up nicely. (and blowing a bit!)

I don't bother really, other than the 100 mtr walk down the road to the garage where my bike is, don't think that counts though I just jump straight in. Wherever I go from here I'll have a pretty decent hill within half a mile. That's usually slower than any other hills but by the time I'm done I feel warmed up enough.

Was pondering this on my way into work this morning. By the time I'd reached the fourth mile I realised I don't think it matters!

When running I warm up with exercises for 10 mins before and 10 mins after to cool down. It takes 1k before I'm in running mode. On a bike it's leg over and by the time I've hit the first hill and over I've warmed up. You use different muscles. Always have a full monty breakfast before a ride . Tea, cake and a hot shower usually sort out the aches after

I stretch hamstrings and open up my hips with a bit of stretching. Personal thing as I have overdeveloped quads, hip flexors and lower back and these tend to be tight, compared to weaker glutes and abs. Silly training regime a few years ago in the gym caused it.
I don't mash the pedals until have warmed up a little bit either till joints have eased up.

Do not bother, just take it easy for the first couple of km's.I just try and avoid any decent climbs for the first 5 km's or so..
