Is it the lemon you have @billyadam? How long does a pot last? Seems wise to stock up while cheap but I don't want a lifetime supply

425g Tub, 42.5g per serving (1 x 500ml bottle) - 1 servings I make that.
Not sure the stated £0.01 per unit cost is right on the website...

Yes! Onto third pot after starting late spring - still got a third left and another full one. I think both of us rarely give it a 'full on' strength mix from comparing the opacity last TOC outing. I tend to vary mine from weak to nearly rocket fuel (the strength they suggest), depending on ride planned. Longer ones with pace and climbs, like into Wales and FOD get two bidons of middle to good strength, a one - one n half moderate hour, getting a weak to half strength single bidon, a power hour getting a stronger one. The level touring rides, like our last one up to Glos n round, get two half strength bidons (standard issue for 2 hr plus rides).

As an indication, I would say I use 20g as average, it's rare that I weaken or strengthen it as most rides are not done with the race face on or too leisurely. On hot days (remember them?) I would use two weak mixes on shorter rides as felt more need for liquid / electrolytes, not necessarily energy.
On longer runs, they're a little top me up to other nutrition IMO, bit harsh in the stomach at full strength to just quaff a litre of strong lemon.

I must try this. Robinson's sugar free squash doesn't seem to have much effect. We are a bit anti calorie in my house or at least HTMBO is.

I want it mainly for lag avoidance and also seems to negate aches and cramps setting in during and after - it's not really about the energy for me as I'm trying to shed lbs still but you don't do that when emptying the reserves on a ride anyway IMO; it does help with keeping feeling lively though, as if you keep sipping away at it, you're topping up on energy but no-where near as much as you use, particularly when on weaker mixes; supplement it with banana's, muesli bars and flapjacks on long runs - works for me.

I use both flavours @trotter I use just under a full scoop in a 650ml bidon and probably 2 bidons for a long ride.did a little comparison test in the nutrition thread. The squash route doesn't really cut it IMO.

Personally, I don't think it's a boost as much as a lag resistor !
