Think I'll pull the trigger on a pair of those. As you say, won't take up much space in a jersey pocket and should extend cleat life too. Much better value than one of those Garmin mounts............

I have been looking into getting a pair but just haven't done so yet. Curious how long a set of cleats actually last for? I am shifting to 105 pedals soon so been holding off with the Keo Easy pedals I have now. Left me know what you think of them.

The first set lasted about 10 months, left foot was ok(ish) but the right (which i always unclip when stationary) and worn to the stage where it wouldn't stay clipped in.

Would it make sense to swap them after a while to even out the wear? Would it extend the life?

To be honest, both sides were very worn but the right side was unclipping when it shouldn't. It might extend their life a little but for the price i don't mind buying new ones.

They would be good for @bigjohn, bambi on ice!! I have some I had them with me when I slipped as well. The problem was that I slipped as I put my foot down before I could put them on. For that situation they don't really help. Good for walking to get the bike from the garage or for walking into work from the car park though!

I use those! Got them from wiggle too. Essential kit, stops me skating like a drunk moose on the way in to the office :-)
I keep them in my cycle shirt pocket while riding, don't notice they are there.

Hi goffski, interested in what you said here about unclipping. For me, it's always unclick the left when stopped, not the right. For me, left is safer as it means leaning away from passing traffic rather than towards it. Have always done this, growing up, I would always come to a stop with my left peg on the ground. Interested in why you do the right foot thing, just habit, grew up in France, lols?

But what if you happen to lean the wrong way by accident? Then your right foot is still on the pedal and you fall towards traffic.
