I'd guess it is a good idea to try and resume from the same place you saved? Strava might throw up some strange numbers otherwise.

Thanks to everyone it works!! Got to work and the garmin auto paused then switched it of.After work switched it back on and after a second or two got the option to resume my ride,so with the press of a button I ride away and get absolutely soaked!! www.strava.com/activities/81279072Thanks again.

martin122 a quick question about the 200.I ride back to work after my dinner (we get 2 hours in France)and then home again in the evening.I do not go home the same way every day as some times I want to climb different hills. I would like to save the 2 rides as one ride. I can not make a course as I dont go the same way everyday . Can I press ride function then go to work, when it auto pauses when I arrive at work switch it off. Will it be possible to resume when I go home? Hope that make sense! I'd say yes. I've got a 200 and have switched it off to save power whilst at a cafe stop and its given me the option to resume the ride when it's been switched back on. It was only switched off for half an hour or so, though, so not sure if it'd offer you the option after a few hours of inactivity. Thats an interesting bit of information. Thanks for that, will see if it works.

Is that thanks for the advice or thanks for the soaking in the rain? It must be nice to get a two hour break!

But it allows me to come home for dinner and then go to work in the afternoon on my bike .

Have not decided the one I want yet, will not be getting one till at least the end of the month This last month I have bought a garmin 200 and a Triban 5a so my cycling fund is a tad low till then.

That's often the case for most of us! I am waiting for month end to get an ultralight rain jacket. £40 Endura Pakajak. Missed the Aldi one last August for £10. Then October will be the Shimano 105 shifters 5700 silver and that's £140 on Wiggle. Upgrading to 5700, hopefully by Christmas I should have front + rear mechs too.

I will have a Garmin Edge 200 soon, got one ordered via a points system and it then said allow up to 28 days, hmm, get a move on! I've looked at those mounts but they're a bit ott on price, reckon I'll hold out for a price drop for a while at least, let's be honest, they're not essential but do look very pro - ah, the price of vanity.

I have looked at these mounts but I agree with rads and think they are over priced I have mine on the stem and happy with it there until such time as that piece of plastic gets cheaper!
