Hope someone can give me some advice, I am looking to move my garmin 200 from the stem to in front of the bars so it is easier to read, has anyone got any recommendations or experience of these as there seems to be an awful lot of choices out there.

I use one of these with my Garmin 510. Puts it in a much better position making it easier to see when riding.

Thats the kind of thing martin122, not cheap are they!! The Garmin 200 is fantastic bit of kit but is also infuriating (is that spelt ok)at the same time. Pros Build quality fantastic The mounting system as in just twist it on is fantastic and very secure. Battery life also very good Ease of set up very good quickness of picking up satellites As a basic computer brilliant For motivation using strava also the course feature is great. Breadcrumb directions really are good. Cons No clock when you are on the ride or course screen makes me mad unable to pick what data is displayed is not good also Not automatically using your fastest time in course mode I find a bind Why have calories shown when they are so far out Why have elevation when it is guessing as no internal barometer (strava changes this to the correct amount for you) Overall I am glad to have got it but glad I never paid full price, maybe worth going for the next model up next time.

Forgot to mention racing yourself to work and nearly collapsing when you get there is great and satisfying, if you beat yourself by a couple of seconds!!

Give me a clock rather than the elevation and calories pleas Mr Garmin, Cant be that hard to give people the option. As you said i could always wear a watch! Apart from those couple of things it is great as I do not need cadence or heart rate. Thing is apart from elevation everything else could be sorted with a software update i think!

martin122 a quick question about the 200.I ride back to work after my dinner (we get 2 hours in France)and then home again in the evening.I do not go home the same way every day as some times I want to climb different hills. I would like to save the 2 rides as one ride. I can not make a course as I dont go the same way everyday . Can I press ride function then go to work, when it auto pauses when I arrive at work switch it off. Will it be possible to resume when I go home? Hope that make sense!

I've got a 200 and have switched it off to save power whilst at a cafe stop and its given me the option to resume the ride when it's been switched back on. It was only switched off for half an hour or so, though, so not sure if it'd offer you the option after a few hours of inactivity.

Hope that make sense! johnc from bude told me this one, when you get to work press the pause button and then turn it off and then when you want to carry on with your ride later just turn it on and press resume and it will start where you paused it and when your home just save it and it will record it as one ride hope this helps
