True, I think I was about 9 or 10 on my 20 miler - we had travelled round the world in our minds though, this was the outer reaches of our known Universe lol; I can still remember feeling hot and parched on the way home and nipping into Olveston to blag some water off relatives.

I had my iPhone 4S in a Tigra iPhone 4 bike mount. It's really heavy duty although I wouldn't recommend it to someone who's not into the heavy security it provides. The Topeak product is a much better balanced solution. That said I felt very save with the Tigra case, even put it under the water tap for a few seconds to test it! It is very secure.

I am a big fan of this case compared to the BikeConsole that I have.

On my hybrid I have a bar-mounted holder with clear plastic screen and semi-waterproof zip. It's generic and a bit tight for an iPhone 5, but fitted my old iPhone 4 perfectly.
On the Triban I just start the app running and put the phone in a Btwin tool bottle in the second bidon cage. Fits perfectly (I suspect one of the larger Android phones like the Galaxy S4 or Nexus 4 would be too wide) with room for a couple of cereal bars, puncture patches etc as well.

Just to follow up, had a timber moment on my ride this morning, landed on my back and phone was fine.

Cheers mate, I was actually pretty relaxed when I landed and had managed to unclip my right foot and was half out my left. Ah well, get the timber out the way early!

Hi Billyadam,
No shock built into it, been out on one ride with it, held up pretty well, had really good reviews, and they are doing 10% off too :-), worked out Β£42 roughly
