Hi Guys, thought I would share this with you.
Saving money on Cycle stuff etc! from online retailers like Chain reaction, Wiggle, Halfords and loads of other online retailers etc.
More money saved to go towards upgrades :-)
- link removed -
It a cash back site I have been using for a few years now :-)
takes 30 seconds to sign up and its Free :-)
Just type in the online retailer you want cash back from in the search bar & it directs you to the site and you get cash back by purchasing through this method :-) The retailer pays the cash back site and we get the discount!
I used it this morning to order some Michelin tubes from Chain reaction & got 3% cash back :-)
All adds up :-D

I've been meaning to sign up to one of these cash back schemes but I hear they are not as straight forward as one is led to believe. Lot's of times you are not paid out and have to put in claims?

Worth signing up for as its free and you was going to buy the product anyway!
Places like Chain reaction cycles is fine as tracks straight away, its just they normally don't pay till 30 days after in case you refund the product and they have paid you the cash back!
Only few certain cash back claims need to be tracked manually, such as my Green Flag one which is £50 cash back for a £65 purchase! but TBH its just a few clicks, just set a reminder on your laptop!

I've been using quidco for a few years now and rarely have not had to call on their assistance once. Thoroughly recommended.

I use quidco. Its 'free' but they take the first fiver you make as a admin cost. But its pennies back on stuff you would already be buying. So can't lose.
Sometimes there are offers when you can earn more money, rather than a small %. Sign up to Netflix free trial. Get £5, become a paying member and you get another £15. Order a giffgaff sim, get £1 £10 for British cycling membership Etc

Good ones to also sign up for on cashback sites is free film trials ie Lovefilm, Now TV . Netflix and depends what offer is on get a £10 and don't even have to sign up after trail :-)
All money back so all to gain and nothing to lose whichever site you sign up for :-)
I was member of a few others too but found this to be best IMO for pay outs and choice of how you get paid out i.e amazon vouchers if you don't like giving bank details etc.
Nothing to lose by looking at any of them :-) The one I use has a no admin fee option which is what I have opted for :-D

Save the high street even if it does cost more, do people realise how our economy works?
Online shopping is OK if you are rural but we are cutting open the goose that laid the golden egg, a few savings today, no bike shops tomorrow Just like hmv
Still unsure if this is spam or not, got my eye on you leo

£10 back on british cycling membership? Wish I had known/checked since I got that only a few days ago. Already had around £200 cashback from topcashback, only had it not track on one occasion, filled in the form for missing cashback and a few months later through it came. Wiggle hasn't tracked yet though

Def not spam! People have been really helpful to me in finding upgrades and advice and I have been using Ribbles a lot and when I did my shopping around I found Chain reaction were on the cash back site, I I thought I would share the useful site IMO.
I sent the Mrs to get my foot pump from Wilko this morning, so I still use High street stores :-)
Just sometimes things are double the price in stores and when Im on a low wage it helps to save, example would be the Conti Ultra sport tyres I got recently off ebay, they were double the price in my nearest LBS.Save the high street even if it does cost more, do people realise how our economy works? I still don't know where I stand on the whole thing. I think it's naive to think you can go against consumer nature. We as the consumer will always look for the best/easiest deal. This is intrinsic. This to me means, our high street needs to reshape itself to compete not on price but on service and other factors of the dice. I don't have the answer I'm just giving my 2 cents. For me the price isn't the biggest factor, although it is up there. The convenience has to be no 1. I order something online, it gets delivered to my work with no hassle. If I was to try and go to my local LBS, which I did once, it took me 15mins just to find a parking space and this was NOT in town. Parking has to be biggest gripe for me, but then again I don't have the answer and I sure am not getting paid to think solutions up. Men in better suits with their names on the door have that pleasure.

Go to the high street... pay for fuel getting there. Pay to park your car. Dodge street sellers. Browse stuff in the hustle and bustle, find what you want, que up to use stinky changing rooms, your size is not in stock. Re-visit next weekend, your size is in stock, pay over the odds for what you wanted. Return to car, it's now scratched. Following week what you bought is on sale at half price. Half your day is gone on each visit.
I have almost exclusively shopped online for years now after the 'high street experience'. Have save thousands, and a lot of time'.
Just bought a bike lock for £66 online. Was £99 in LBS.
Multi prouduct big retailers like Decathlon and Halfords are probably the future for bike sales. After all, the Tribans are only possible from such a retailer. All my LBS have never been that great. Got a few too.

Is there a possibility of a forum discount code for Decathlon or other bike part suppliers one day, even a temporary one? That was initially what I thought this thread was . Its seems to be the norm for car ones etc.

This is spam. Leo is using his own referral link which means he gets extra cashback for everyone who signs up!
