Went to Decathlon Belfast with money in hand (well my wires hand) to get the FC3. What a lovely looking bike.
As I ride a T3 57 I was advised to try the 55 which the young helpful assistant uses and he was about an inch shorter than me. Did I have any joy ....... No i just couldn't seem to get it set right felt to high with the seat right down to the post and when cycling it (just around the store) felt like I was going hit my elbows with my knees. I was gutted big time as it did feel like a great bike. I also tried the 53 but felt too small. Has anyone else any experience of riding or even trying one out. I am going back with the T3 band we are going compare measurements and then try it again.
I wil keep you informed.
Really do think it will be a T7a.

Would a longer stem not give you the elbow room you are looking for ?

5' 10" T7 size 57 - that's my girl Whitney. I am so in love with the FC3 and currently working on various schemes to acquire one at sometime.

Same here, I really want one. But what would you do with Whitney?!
Anyways sodafari, why did you not try a 57 as this would be the obvious size? I think I'm correct in saying the geometry is different compared to T3,5,7 as this is more race fit so it may feel odd to you at first.
I'm really interested in someone how has one or getting one giving us insight.

To be very honest I was at full stretch trying to reach the ground with the 55 every time I have looked at the FC3 I have been told that I would need a smaller size due to the shape of the frame and seat post. Seriously go in and try one for size the same as your own. Where are all the Decathlon men when you need them:-)

Hence a 57 on a Triban would be smaller/bigger on the FC. Has for Whitney well I have one to thing to say. Old Jamaican song - I want my wife and my sweet heart to be friends!

There are times when you just can't find the cycle department men in store. Curious why there are so many in the sports equipment and clothing sections. I guess that's were the constant sales are? Saw this very hot bicycle mechanic chick in a Halfords once. She was really good at what she was doing. Had to chat with her for a while before moving on. So why isn't there any females in the cycle department at The Mecca?

Finding staff in the bike section of the Belfast store is never a problem. I seen at least 3 T3a sold on Sunday. There were 3 young lads setting up the bikes and getting asked all sort of questions regarding the Tribans.

This might help? FC frame geometry in the bottom table. Attachment DeletedEDIT: As you can see the facet and FC frames use extended seat tubes.

The bottom table.
EDIT: They appear almost identical geometry wise, the FC's seem to have slightly higher headtubes.
