why not hire one for a few days and try it.. Hmm might even do that myself.. That's a good idea but I would have to have the money in my pocket at the time. Wouldn't make much sense to try it out and can't buy it.

I wonder if they realize that keeping a passport is against the law ?
They are not a recognised authority with the right to hold anyones passport.

Yet it's an agreement between two consenting parties with a fair exchange of goods involved. I would give them the passport and keep the bike lol

I know the law was changed throughout Europe because the hotels are no longer allowed to hold your passport when you check in. They can photocopy the info page but they are not an authority permitted to retain a passport.
