From Southside Glasgow(Shawlands). Once I get used to the bike ill start training runs as my work run is only 5k(maybe stretch it to 6k if I go through Pollokshaws and Bellahouston Park). Would love to get involved with a group run though if the dates can be sorted.

Tell you what, I'll drag you down Pollokshaws Road then you're on your own once I turn onto the PR.

Scottish borders here. Have only ever ridden around here, but there again it's a beautiful place to ride so don't feel a pull to go elsewhere.

That's a tough one. For an interesting route I would go straight up The A77, straight up the Ayr Road(It says its a Cat 4 on Strava) to the Malletsheugh. Then I would follow the A road parallel to the M77 all the way to Stewarton. From there you had back to civilisation through Dunlop and Uplawmoor to Barrhead, coming out at the Hurlet and heading west out to Paisley, make for the PR, then back up Pollokshaws Road to Shawlands. Got a bit of everything. Would need to map that out and check the mileage but I think it's about 25.

I don't really have a clue about the roads around here i've only lived here a couple years. I'll definitely map that one out, spunds like a challenge!

Just did. If you go out to Stewarton and back but just got back from Barrhead to home, it clocked in at 36 miles. That's a bit ahead of me yet. Think I'll stick to down to Tradeston, along to ibrox, cut across to Silverburn then home, that's about 8-9 I think.

That sounds like a wee challenge, probably good for a weekend shift but i doubt i could tackle that in the evening after work!
