Looks very nice. Some wicked colour co-ordination going on there Widge! Liking the tyres mate, what are they? Pedals look tidy too, theyr'e not clip ins are they? Is that a cover on the rear stay (velo)? Blends nicely with the frame. Nice looking example.

Hi all... No.....not clip-ins (as yet) but VERY light general-purpose all alloy flats by 'Genetic' . less than 150 grms apiece and a good cheap stop-gap. Tyres are Vittoria Rubino Pro folders. Thanks for looking. w

Haven't felt too worried in the wet.........certainly less so than on the stock b'Twin tyres that punctured all the time as well. Maybe just my bad luck?
There is a little tread pattern...a 'waffle' texture and some vague sipes, again, more than on the originals.
I run them a little under pressure in mucky conditions. That, and their flexibility and road holding makes for a fairly comfortable and confident ride; for me at least.

As for the brakes............I went into my LBS for some blocks and cartridge holder to replace the somewhat harrowing ones the T3 came with....... ........ and they were selling off their last pair of 'old' Sora brake-sets at less than half price.....about what I was expecting to pay for new blocks!
Vanity took hold....the Soras match the the rest of the bikes 'gruppo' so I done the deed and also discovered that any Shimano compatible blocks will fit the original b'Twin cartridge holders anyway.
Done deal?
The new brakes are not THAT much better than the perfectly serviceable ones that come with the bike (rebranded Tektro cheapies) but are better engineered and have noticeably smoother bearings/action.
New Sora are pretty much the same but come in black at twice the price!

Yer my Vittorias are the slick version, and they mean slick, I ve got more hair then they ve got tread (I.E None).
Intresting point with the brakes, I swapped mine out for Shimano 105 (5700 series) and the Shimanos are actually heavier and IMO not much better performing,
The OE brakes I got were cartridge metal backed though, usually cheap O/E brakes just have rubber pads and a change to metal backed cartridge sorts them. Not necessary in this case and I ve riden down Winnats in the wet with no concerns. (Quite a few going up it though)

Mostly cheese.
I sometimes put a scrunched-up yellow waterproof in it as well.
