Sorry perniciousviper , didn't give u much information . Not too sure what i did to be honest . I wasn't lifting anything but just seemed to stand akward & got a shooting pain thro the front of my knee .This happened a week last friday & its much easier now . Maybe taking longer to heal due to my age & being a joiner i'm on my feet most of the day anyway . Just thought a bit of extra support might help. Cheers .

I still suffer from the aftermath of a knee injury from several years ago - and it still gives me gyp sometimes.
You can buy all sorts of sports-specific knee support - ones made of neoprene, or containing magnets (!) or specially profiled etc. At a cost. I favour a straightforward tubigrip-type bandage that simply folds back on itself and available from pretty much any chemist.
It doesn't ALWAYS help......sometimes hinders.......knees can be tricky. Worth getting it checked out if problems persist. Also - bike fit and cleat set-up can become part of the equation too.

Thanks Widge , think I'll go down that route myself with one from boots or maybe the ones in decathlon . If no marked improvement id best be off to the docs. Been out on the T3 this afternoon for a relaxed hrs ride ,bit stiff to start with & now but seemed fine on the ride , until I had my first clipless moment & hit the pavement . Which side do u think I landed on ? Lol

Yowsers, an eventful time, Sheffs! I had a good neoprene style support, lots of Velcro and the knee cap was left exposed. That was for what turned out to be a knee cartiledge issue, an op followed shortly after. Hopefully yours is a soft tissue issue but do check with your GP.

Just a quick suggestion from prior experience - you might want to cut a small section from the neoprene one just behind the knee.
The support can cause as many issues as it solves if it bunches up behind a folded knee.
This is why the back of the knee on motorcycle leathers is NOT leather - it is a thin strech fabric.
