Love the printed press, interested to hear how you get on with it. Also whether you have any problems with extra customs charges, this has worried me about buying more expensive items direct from China. Looking forward to updates as it goes

Looking forward to updates as it goes I did have customs charges to pay - Β£30.69 I think. Oh well, part of the game buying from China. Will you, won't you lol.

Not bought much from outside EU, but if I was, I'd factor customs charges into the price of the items. For items over a threshhold (c. Β£130 if memory serves) you pay x%, plus 20% vat on the total.

The frame comes tomorrow hopefully! Have spent a little of time after work this week stripping the Ribble. Printed out a Hollowtech II crank retaining nut tool to undo the nut/cap thing that screws in the non-drive side crank. drive.google.com/open?id=1JJJzNMZHPwxUtfVBKntAbtXE_DZp6j-M Only the shifters to come off now, everything else bagged up, and in need of a quick scrub and degrease/grease before they go on the new frame.

A quick end to this thread, unfortunately. Cracked the frame around the bottom bracket when installing it. Was going well then all of a sudden a massive snapping sound and hey presto, a 5mm crack. Gutted.

I did a coin tap test for delamination which there doesn't seem to be. At least that's something. I also fitted the non drive side cup in a different manner, a chopping board and a mallet. Went in dead easy! Lol

Is it repairable?

Not sure, Paul. There's no delamination so it may just be a paint crack. Just going to build it and see how it goes. If, at the end of the day it is broke, then I'll go back to the Ribble and put a zer-setback post on to bring me forward towards the handlebars.

Given where it is could you diy repair with some carbon matting and epoxy? There are places that will do it but I think the price might be prohibitive against the cost of the frame.

Yeah, I think so; I don't think it would take much, perhaps a square inch to make absolutely sure it's covered and reinforced.
