Hi all, This is my B 520 currently with a new working left shifter, new Prime wheels and Marathon City tyres (plus on the rear). Will be used for my commuter so mudguards are a must.
I want to fit the SKS Raceblade longs but can't decide whether to go black or silver. My current sway is to silver as I've had just black before and it would break up the black already on the bike. I had some Giant Defy guards on my old Triban 3 before but after a couple years the rear mount just snapped rendering it useless.
Peoples' thoughts please. Black or silver?

Definitely black.
I use SKS Bluemels in black (matt) on my Triban 500 which is also a black/white colour scheme.

Thanks Scott. I assume the Bluemels fitted fine under the calipers? I thought I'd need the Raceblades as the clearance on the Triban 3 was low

Yes, plenty of space on the 520/540 frame for them.

Black! Look at the username - Would you expect me to say anything else?

I agree black, standard bluemells not the longs and add a mudflap front and rear. The rear protects riders behind you the front protects your feet and the drivetrain.

here is my bike with brand new bluemels this i think is the third bike Ive bought and fitted bluemels too. Taking time when fitting really pays dividends and is well worth it. for anyone whose not fitted them for a time, the new design of plastic stay-cover on top of the stays is a huge improvement, these were 35mm on top of 25mm gatorskins. not much clearance with mudguard and tyre.

btw have a set of T3 wheels with 28mm Vittoria Randonneurs that may go on if weather gets really rubbish this winter.
Glad i left adjustment in those stays !!
