Hi. Will the T3 (red) take wider wheels and tyres? If so can you recommend any?
Doing a c2c but on the trans Pennine trail. Not sure the standard wheels will be suitable.

Had a read and it looks like 25mm is the biggest. Oh well. Looks like I'll have to do it on my mtb.

I think it depends on the wheel and tyre. The original rims were fairly narrow which meant that the profile of of a 25mm tyre would be quite "steep". A wider rim would tend to flatten the tyre profile so a 25 would probably be OK on the T3. I run 23mm tyres on my T3 which currently has Fulcrum 7 wheels (17mm internal). I also have Crud Mk2 mudguards fitted and there is just enough clearance using Schwalbe One 23s. Previously I had Vittoria 23s and these rubbed slightly at the front.
I think you would probably be OK with a wider rim and 25mm tyre combination assuming you are not trying to squeeze mudguards in.

I used to run 25mm GP4000Sii on 17mm internal front and rear rims no problems. There wasn't much room left under the forks so if your tyres picked up mud you heard it catch and clear. No chance of fitting mudguards in the remaining space so I'm back to 23mm.

I've just been on the trail now to see what it's like and it was hard work on the T3 even though it was really muddy I don't think slightly wider tyres would have helped. I'm going to have to do it on a mtb unfortunately.

I live near the TPT and ride it on 25mm tyres no problem. It is a pretty good trail. However when it is REALLY wet (like this weekend), I would recommend something wider.

It was really wet when I was on it. Is it in good condition all the way do you know. I've read mixed reviews but most are around 5 years old.
