You've been cleaning it as well Grant. Its looking really good. I'm still soldiering on with the Sora triple on mine but intend to transfer the 10 speed 105 if I can scrape enough surplus pennies together to upgrade the other bike to 11.

No I haven't cleaned it I hope to put the sora parts on my Apex as that needs some TLC . Is there much difference between 10 speed & 11 speed ? The Tiagra came with 50-34 front & 11-32 cassette Lowest gear works out the same as the sora

My 10 speed 105 has 50/34 and 11-30 so its a slighly higher ratio than the Sora triple but since the bike is 2 kilos lighter you don't really notice it. My main reason for wanting to ditch the triple is that I have never been able to set it up perfectly without chain rub in some combinations. Its always a compromise. The 105 compact is much slicker to change gears is and easy to set up.
