People still zwifting much? I must admit, I'm still loving it. I enjoy races and find them more motivating than pretty much anything outside of the (real life) time trials I race in. I rarely get much chance to ride with family commitments (and that I actually want to spend time with kids on weekend not be out for hours!) so ability to fit in hour here and there throughout the week in the garage on zwift really helps, whilst commuting gets some real life miles in the legs. In real races certainly faster this year and new PBs, just shame not got to do many races due to family illnesses and roadworks disrupting club evening races. Yep still try an get on Zwift twice a week in the evenings Did a free ride Wed this week and the a 1 lap race on Richmond Thursday night. Like you I find the races a great way to get a hard effort in like this www.zwiftpower.com/race.php?id=96923.14W/KG and max HR 3 BPM above the max for my age shows I gave it everything

Yep, still Zwifting - hadn't raced for ages though as am following the Zwift Academy sessions (which has helped FTP very nicely). But decided to do a race on Saturday night - zwiftpower.com/race.php?id=9746Normal start - (people flying off at mad W/Kg) - I managed to tag onto a group of 8 or so and settled into a fast but sustainable pace. After having gone too hard in previous races, I tried to sit in the wheels much more in this race and try to keep the legs fresh for a couple of hard efforts at the end. The only real hill in the circuit is as it goes by the Cenotaph so I saved my first push for that place on the last lap (1.7 miles to go) So lap 4 came along, push duly delivered (although my HR was already 155 before the push) and I think that was too far out to try getting clear. I got a couple of seconds clear of the group but no more than that, and was slowly reeled in again so that we were all together again with just over a mile left. My 2nd push (not much left now) I thought would be about right with 1000 yds to go. Again too early, all I did was serve as lead-out for the rest of them. I was spent with about 100 or so yds left and coasted over the line as I was nearly passing out! (435W, 170BPM). Felt pretty spaced out for an hour or two lol. Won't be going that hard again! Still, great race and didn't injure myself so good training!

Thanks RobP . Small field makes the result look better but definitely feeling the fitness now, hopefully keep it going through the winter with Zwift! Yeah, that pack ride was ideal last night, tapering for RideLondon on Sunday so that was the perfect ride. Need another one on Thursday evening! EDIT: There is one on Thursday evening! Result!
