Here he/she (i think she) is, up above the hills of north Sheffield the other week; my 51/52cm (Small) 540 bought in the sale last July. My first ever road bike as i've barely ridden bikes since I was a kid! A few bags added, SKS mudguards for autumn/winter, Charge Spoon saddle and the only real mechanical change from stock was a change of cassette to a Tiagra 11-32 (from 12-28) for some help on the Sheffield hills as detailed in this thread: triban3owners.freeforums.net/thread/6279/tiagra-11-32-triban-540Grrr, just noticed on the picture that I have a missing reflector from the back spokes........

Grrr, just noticed on the picture that I have a missing reflector from the back spokes........ The real issue is you haven't taken the front one off. Great pic.

What is the weight of original crankset comparing to 105? Good question. I will try to remember to weigh the prowheel this week.

Okay, so had the Prowheel crankset on the kitchen scales. Remember this is the 50/34 with 170mm arms and it came in at 835g. I also weighed the original bottom bracket which came in at 106g. So a grand total of 941g. According to Wiggle the weight of the Ultegra/105 BB is 77g. And the 170mm 105 5800 crankset is listed as 737g. So a combined total of 814g. Leaving a grand saving of a whopping 127g. In other words, 0.27 of a lb. ie, almost indistinguishable i'd imagine. But it still looks soooooo much better.
