I'll admit it was just loose thinking, if I was to progress this sort of idea, then I'd be having a more serious assessment first - main point was to use the Heli tape to avoid fouling the forks - it's pretty stable if given enough area, you can then just peel it off and whatever is on top will come off with it; but then I don't own the mudguards either, so unsure how much load and vibration is applicable and if it'd eventually wear the tape out.

You need to heat up the fixing pads to remove them. A new set can be ordered for Β£2.50 . I pushed the boat out and ordered two sets for Β£5 delivered. I've been using mine a while now on the Alur and have had no issues or rubs. I think they are great. But as Taffytim says really take your time lining up the pads. Oh that's good i didn't realise they were so cheap. Ta
