Anyone had experience upgrading to give advice. Was only going to upgrade shifters and wheels but won't cost much more to upgrade to 9 speed sora...
Got me then thinking why not upgrade to 105 with rs10 wheels? Well it would cost Β£160 more...
Is it worth it? Help...

What bike are you using?
I have my red T3 running on full 9 speed sora and r501's and it's great. Absolutely miles better than the stock parts that came on the bike. All depends what you are upgrading from though.

T3 red... Compact double or triple? All depends on your riding. Do you do lots of hills or touring? How do you like the triple at the minute?

IMO compacts are better suited to 10/11 spd, for 8/9 you're better off with a triple, not fasionable but sensible unless you're strong.

I live in bristol so quite hilly but don't often use the granny ring. Getting a lot of front dΓ©railleur rub at the moment and already had it "fixed". Was hoping there wouldn't be this issue with the compact double but really not sure as I'm new to all this. Not bothered by greater gear increment jumps.

Compact would have less rub... but as you develop, you'll probably find the gaps annoying.
