Hi guys, I'm looking to buy my first turbo trainer and two local cycling pals have two used in good condition for sale. They are asking the same amount, so i would like to know which one is the best. I've got till tomorrow morning to choose.Help me choose between: TACX CYCLE TRACK OR ELITE MAG LITE TRAINER

I had one very similar to the Elite and it was flawless. Take whichever is cheapest and/or in better condition. They will both do the job.

I've had that Elite it was my first turbo now on third still Elite the Qubo, doubt if i would go for any other make. Perhaps that is just contempt prior to investigation though... IMO they have a place in maintaining fitness and no bad thing when time or weather is an issue.

Just a quick heads up thesexpistol, ive also got the elite mag lite turbo, great machine with good resistance settings, cant fault it, BUT you may find that the stock rear wheel skewer on your bike doesn't fit into the clamp so you may need to change it for a slightly different one, I bought mine brand new & it came with the reqd skewer, it might be worth asking your pal if you can have the skewer aswell.

Well. I've checked Deca for the prices of the new ones and they were on sale i ended up getting a new one. Friends asked 80β¬ for a used one, i got a Elite Super Crono for 110β¬ brand new.

Had some time today to set up the trainer. Is this ok? The bike is aligned between the two trainer arms, but it's not on the center of the red contact area. Is it supposed to be like this?

You can change the position of the roller during assembly. There should be several mounting points.

It should be CLOSE to the centre, unlikely to be perfect, but MUCH close than that.
